Colloidal silver gaining ground as a proven, effective antibiotic remedy
Colloidal silver, a liquid suspension of the metal silver, is currently a hot topic in the world of medicine. While alternative medicine praises its use as an antibiotic, mainstream medicine considers it somewhat of a poison. But colloidal silver is neither a poison nor a panacea: It is a safe and proven topical antibiotic that may cautiously be used internally.

In the nineteenth century, colloidal silver -- also known as Argentum colloidale, Argentum crede and collargolum -- was a prominent treatment for everything from colds to skin infections. In the 1940s, the FDA began its decades-long oppression of medicinal silver under the guise that it was unsafe; however, in reality, the FDA banned silver because of the threat it poses to the antibiotics industry, rather than any threat it poses for your body. If you'd like to learn more about the FDA's campaign against silver, be sure to download the Health Ranger's Commentary on Curad bandages made with silver. In his commentary, he not only praises Curad's new bandages, but also details how astounding their FDA approval is, given the FDA's historical campaign against the medicinal use of silver.

As you can see from Curad's new bandages, colloidal silver is a safe and effective topical method to fight infections. As Phyllis A. Balch and Dr. James F. Balch write in Prescription for Nutritional Healing, colloidal silver can safely and inexpensively protect you from infection in a wide variety of ways: "Topically, it can be used to fight fungal infections of the skin or nails and to promote the healing of burns, wounds, cuts, rashes, and sunburn. It can be used on toothaches and mouth sores, as eye drops and as a gargle to fight tooth decay and bad breath. It can also be used as sterilizer and can even be sprayed on air-conditioning filters and air ducts and vents to prevent germs from growing." In addition to those found in air conditioning vents, germs make many other aspects of our environment both unhealthy and bad-smelling. Colloidal silver, as a powerful antibiotic and antifungal agent, can make your environment just as healthy as it can make your body.

add colloidal gold to your aresenal and you get protection against the most complex bacteria and simple viruses, like flu and cold viruses. not herpes and retroviruses though, you need titanium for that and the leading manufacturer of colloidals in this country was forced to take titanium off the market. It works on aids

In other words, the blue man DID NOT turn blue form colloidal Silver.

Re: Colloidal silver gaining ground as a proven, effective antibiotic remedy
I have been using colloidal silver when my family needs it, whether it is for a Staph infection, other bacterial infections, viruses, ect. I would love to buy an generator to make my own, as we do go through a fair amount of it. I don't want to make my own generator with the three 9volt batteries. Does anyone know how to make the generator with ac adaptor?? I really don't want to shell out about $250 for a generator that is already made, if I can make it myself cheaper.

I got my CS generator from silverpuppy.com. Basic unit there is $140, so that's your price to beat. I don't know how to make one, but shouldn't be too hard to make if you're handy...plans should be online somewhere.

Jacobs wasn’t always blue, however. She remembers when she was eleven years old, her mother mentioned to an eye, ear, nose and throat specialist that she always had a cold. Homeopathic medicine, colon cleanses, juice fasts: Of all the unproven health remedies, one of the weirdest may be taking colloidal silver. People drink the silver solution in an attempt to keep infections at bay, but those who drink too much turn a disturbing shade of blue-gray, a condition known as argyria.

Now, researchers have figured out why too much of the shiny drink can leave someone looking like the Tin Man. The same chemical process that develops black-and-white photographs also pigments the skin, according to an October 9 study in ACS Nano.

I have been making and using ionic silver solutions which have some colloidal Silver particulate for 5 years.

Use only distilled water and make sure you stop it when it turns straw colored and its great stuff for about a week after which the particles go through flocculation and it loses just about all of its effectiveness.

The trick is to use good clean labware, the water must be heated to make the distilled water more conductive
and darkness. ITS VERY EASY TO MAKE AND BETTER THAN NOTHING..

Silver has never been suppressed as an anti-microbial or antiseptic.
It's not an antibiotic nor an anti-viral medication though.

it DOES work topically.
It DOESN'T work systemically.

That's partly correct. Well, the part where it says it can be taken internally is.
The part where it says it fights infections is wrong though.

Silver's been used for years on bandages, plasters and even urinary catheters as a way of fighting infection. Only topically though..

From 1996- 2005, I had been misdiagnosed with 5 different diseases.
Chrons, IBS, Diverticulitis, GERD, and ARD.
The pain was so intense, twice I collapsed while lecturing and was taken away by ambulance.

All the great Docs at UW-Health and Dean Care clinics couldn't figure it out.

After I lost my job teaching, too much time-off, I went to a pay as you go clinic and talked to hippie NP.
The first thing she asked me was if my family was from the Mediterranean.
I answered "yes", and then she came back with a balloon. Blow this up she said.
After all the colonoscopies and other invasive procedures all I had to do was blow up a balloon???
Yep, I had a massive HelioBactur Pylori infection. Likely had it for 20 years or more as the ammonia cloud filled my belly.

After 2 failed long (21-day and 30-day) courses of antibiotics I was at the end of my rope. I researched natural antibiotics.

1 ounce 4X a day for 4 days cured me. 70 bucks.
Compare that to the 1000's if not more that I paid 'doctors'.

It must've been magic then (or something to do with your ulcer healing after the antibiotic therapy....) as silver has no systemic pharma-therapeutic benefits.
Your doctors must've been pretty poor.
A hp breath test is the first line of investigation over here.

And why did they even perform a cp? A gastroscope yes, but a cp?

No wonder you turned to quackery.

Colloidal silver has been recognised as a powerful, natural antibiotic. Research has shown that it works by acting as a catalyst, disabling the enzyme that single-celled bacteria, fungi and viruses require for the metabolism of oxygen. This then suffocates the invading cell whilst doing no harm to any human enzymes, resulting in the removal of disease-causing organisms from the body.

Yes, it is much quicker when there is salt in the water.
Patience is necessary in this process to create Colloidal Silver.

But adding salt or starting with anything more than 0 ppm in the water creates something other than CS

Something is said to be antiseptic when it is capable of preventing infection by inhibiting the growth of microorganisms.

An antibiotic is something that can destroy or inhibit the growth of microorganisms. Antibiotic means anti-biosis or the destruction or prevention of the inception or continuance of life.

Generally when you refer to something as antibiotic, it itself is a fungi or bacteria that kills the biosis of other microorganisms.

These terms are essentially interchangeable and playing some sort of word game implies you believe there is a significant difference in the effect. There is not.

Colloidal silver is a suspended mineral that is anti-septic. Penicillin is a type of fungi that is anti-biotic. They both do the same thing.

Yep, they certainly do use silver drops for newborns.
As a topical preparation though.

topical /top·i·cal/ (top´ĭ-k'l) pertaining to a particular area, as a topical antiinfective applied to a certain area of the skin and affecting only the area to which it is applied.

Silver's been used for years on bandages, plasters and even urinary catheters as a way of fighting infection. Only topically though..

Colloidal silver has been recognised as a powerful, natural antibiotic. Research has shown that it works by acting as a catalyst, disabling the enzyme that single-celled bacteria, fungi and viruses require for the metabolism of oxygen. This then suffocates the invading cell whilst doing no harm to any human enzymes, resulting in the removal of disease-causing organisms from the body.

listen to Person445, he/she has done a lot of research on this, as well as I have. Understand that doctors use to use silver nitrite on new born babies eyes to prevent a bacteria that causes blindness.

Yep, they certainly do use silver drops for newborns.
As a topical preparation though.

topical /top·i·cal/ (top´ĭ-k'l) pertaining to a particular area, as a topical antiinfective applied to a certain area of the skin and affecting only the area to which it is applied.

believe what you want, I don't care. Just to let you know I've drank GALLONS of Colloidal silver and have not been to the doctor in over 6 years. Last I checked I'm not blue.

Re: Colloidal silver gaining ground as a proven, effective antibiotic remedy
The best kick-starter is to add 1 oz from the old batch to the 70z of distilled water for the new batch, or add 1/2 hour to the process and the same strength is made.

A brine solution might make a better battery than an CS generator.

Yes I can read and in that Naturalnews bullshit it says it can be taken internally to fight infections.
That's partly correct. Well, the part where it says it can be taken internally is.
The part where it says it fights infections is wrong though.

And how do I know that?
Because I can not only read but I can understand what I read too.

Oh no it hasn't.
Unless you're getting the words antibiotic and antiseptic mixed up.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 31741081

 Quoting: Person445

You really don't understand the difference do you?

Antibiotics as their name suggests, act against bacteria ONLY while antiseptics act against a wide variety or microorganisms.
Antibiotics KILL and stop the growth of bacteria while antiseptic prevents the growth and development of the microorganisms without necessarily killing them.

If you wish to learn any more about the differences please let me know.
You could certainly do with learning more.

I understand the minor differences 100%.

What you're doing is attempting to discredit the thread by dissecting the vernacular of the word.

You're not nearly as smart as you think you are.

I suggest you research my friend Bruno Comby's ideas on health. He is a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique, which is the highest acedemic training in Europe.
