Won the gun argument with my husband!
He was falling for the propaganda about why a person doesn't need an assault weapon.

I told him straight out, why not? Would you shoot up a school or theater if you owned one? He said of course not.

End of story!

I hope people realize just how amazingly intelligent that argument is.

Bravo. I am saddened I did not think of using that.

Good job OP.

It's not very hard to win the gun debate. When the facts and the logic are clearly on the side of guns, it simply takes a rational explanation to snap them out of the mainstream media trance.

Term was made up by anti-gun activists.

It should be "Defense Weapon".

"Assault weapon"...hmmm...as opposed to a "love weapon"? I still don't understand the term. It makes no sense.

It's usually that simple. If you put yourself in the other guy's shoes, you can almost always understand what he would do. Good job OP!

It seems the only way they can get these mass violence episodes is via false flags. So we really are all the same except for the rare sociopath.

If you knew an unbalanced person was going into an elementary school, would you want them to have an assault rifle or a single shot bolt action rifle? (Or nothing?)

Yeah. You didn't win the argument over all, you just pointed out to your husband that he's not an insane killer. Great. (Seriously, good to know.) But that won't stop the ones that might actually do it.

If you're prone to "assault," it doesn't matter if you use a rifle, a baseball bat, a hammer, your fists, or your words.

The problem is the person.

I would go on to argue that the pharma medicated person is the problem...in most cases.

But, that's a whole other argument.

Some people (young ones) drove seadoos crazy on the Great Lakes near beaches in Ontario. They killed people with them, kids to. You know what happened as a result, the government imposed a boating license across this country of Canada.

$50.00 per license. Look it up. You had to take a test like a drivers test to boot.

Nothing like that happened where I live, yet the government imposed it on the entire country, the test entailed about boy's, black, green, red, how to navigate, many lakes here have nothing.

IT WAS A FUCKING MONEY GRAP!

A problem in one place and torture us ALL! BS I'm done with this game.

Yep it's a silly way to do things. But it's what they do. They can't just go after the people that would harm others with firearms. They literally can't. Not yet. So they go after everyone.

Of course it also won't work, taking the guns, but there you have it, it;s what they'll do, to try and make it seem like something real is being done.
