Gang of men groomed vulnerable Oxford girls as young as 11, for sex before beating them with meat cleavers and baseball bats

Nine men forced vulnerable girls to commit sex acts of 'extreme depravity' in a sex ring spanning nearly eight years in Oxford, the Old Bailey heard today. The children, aged between 11 and 15, were groomed and plied with alcohol and hard drugs before being gang-raped and sexually assaulted, it is alleged. Their abusers also invited others from across the country to have sex with the six victims in exchange for cash while some of the sessions lasted for days and involved the use of knives, meat cleavers and baseball bats, with the girls also being beaten and burnt, jurors heard. Victims were trafficked across the UK to be abused and one was even subjected to an attempt to force her to suffer a miscarriage.
