Looking for some information about Radioactive Nerve Blocking Injections for Arthritis and lower back pain

Just talked to my best friend and he was telling me that diagnosis from his doctor for his lower back pain was Sever Conjunctive Arthritis of the spine. The treatment this doctor was recommending was Radioactive Nerve Blocking Injections.

After doing some quick research of this treatment, I found that most of the info from the different sites, contained the same information with a different swing of feeding it to ya. Being cautious, I come here looking for truth on this treatment.

Odd posting I know, but this is where I get my truth. Hoping someone out there could share some information with me. All help greatly appreciated.
