No problem, let's export them. Quoting: An Ordinary Greek 24388155 I, since 2008, always believed that we would drag to war with Turkey over the continental shelf issue because of a financial collapse. I was expecting it in 2009 (we were really close), but happens now. Continental shelf conflict is inevitable at some point, the deposits are known since the late 60's, i'd prefer if we went for it while we were strong and not now, timing is bad imo. Agreed, always a good tactic to rally the sheep with a national cause. But we should be careful imo, we've been dumped in Smyrna and Cyprus by the allies the last couple of times. It'll ultimately lead to a NATO-Russia conflict 'cos the interests in the area are just huge. Also, don't forget that back in 1996 people didn't want to sacrifice their "well-being" for a... rock. This time, with millions of unemployed and broke (including myself), a war is somehow a "manna that fell from the sky", however brutal it sounds. |

Game is huge in the East Med, that's why i don't trust Greek politicians to handle such a situation and lead us in a potential conflict, especially politicians that led the country in the mess it is today with their actions and want to exploit this 'manna' for a possible atonement in the eyes of the Greek people. Dangerous games imo. Polles eyxes aderfi, elpizo na breis ayto pou psaxneis. |

Eurozone potential collapse after German elections, but if Silvio does get elected and do half of what he's promising could happen sooner. Interesting times. |

US now wants to give us maritime patrol aircrafts too, lol, they denied one month ago when a navy general went to US, but since France offered some they decided to change their minds as it seems. |

Don't forget how "Metapolitefsi" came to Greece (hint: Turkish invasion in Cyprus). Quoting: An Ordinary Greek 35126030 I'm a patriotic kind of guy too tbh, this is an indisputable sovereign right, i just want to be a bit of realist too at the same time, don't think it would be a good idea to have a potential conflict with anyone while we are on foreign economic and political supervision. Not that my opinion matters off course, because EU is desperate for alternative energy supply, other than Russian one, before the collapse takes place, so they're gonna push hard on this in the next few months. Tbh i think we're getting robbed without a single bit of negotiation, just handing the keys. |

Turkey however will never accept a solution other than co-sharing. Even if the "creditors" demand peaceful resolution, they won't get it. A war actually might be the solution for our debt-writeoff, however brutal as it sounds. |

Or for so many years they're telling us "we don't have oil". From an armaments perspective the current status quo that has the two countries in a comparable balance of power will only last for 2-3 years more, we're doomed after that.
