Anonymous Coward User ID: 31680350 United States 01/07/2013 10:39 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Right now it is a row between, BSO and independant cities that still have a force. Although, they seem to be cracking down on the local level with operations like "Operation Tarnished Badge" and then of course we have cops like the Disney Cop, who made up everything to get his fellow officer off the hook for rear ending a gal, they do a little Walt Disney on their reporting. So inessence, they are another aspect of unionized travisty with tax payer money. Same with the schools, same with the courts, same with the mail, and so on and so on...Just wait until they no longer have pensions. Then they will not show up at all. |

A few years ago I delivered pizza for extra cash, then gas prices went up. I would pull up to some pretty swank ($1.2 million - $2m)with police cruisers sitting outside. My brothers theory was maybe their wife is a doctor... Maybe... probably not... but maybe. |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 30397426 United States 01/07/2013 11:03 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Personally, I thought the postal and police salary were high. I do not know what I thought they made, but it was not in the 70k range... ESPECIALLY for the people who work at my post office... They sell one stamp and take a break. |

User ID: 1220977 United States 01/07/2013 11:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | [link to www.bls.gov] BLS shows very little fluctuation in the salary of a postal clerk throughout his/her career. Most make between $49K and $55K. Not much different for carriers. Peaks at about $55K currently. [link to www.nalc.org] Anybody making more than that must be a supervisor or something. As for police, they make about $40K to $50K here depending on the municipality. Not sure what the state police make, but probably about the same I would guess. |
