Hell no. This isn't about me. This is actually about my ex, thinking he is in love with me and someone else.

Okay, so what if he is saying he loves me (keeping in mind we were together 5 years, broken up for several months, we just going to start trying again and he met someone else almost 2 weeks ago), but he loves her too? He has told her how he still feels about me, but feels awful for hurting her and is says he is very sad to see her go and I've seen him, he is extremely sad. Says no matter which one he decides to be with, he will be hurt. I don't know if he is actually in love with me, or in love with her. He says he thinks he is in love with both of us. I also don't know if you can be in love with someone after a week long relationship.

Not sure really...it's a work in progress. So far it feels beautiful and has affected all aspects in my life positively. But that quote above about the farmer catching neither rabbit rings true to me too.

Interesting, have to think about that....If I were you and you want him back I would tell him flat out to get lost and pick the other...just sayin

Not at all, I thought correctly that you did want him. I play poker and it would be a poker move. You go all in here. Yes, you could lose him but I think it would shake him up a bit and maybe make him realize you're it...
Both of you vying for him will probably lead to neither of you getting him or he'll just play it for as long as possible..IMHO

Okay. That's kind of what I did...I stop contacting him and told him to stop contacting me after he told me about her. He then told her he loved me and she stopped speaking to him. But now, he isn't sure if he made the right decision because he misses her.

Normally, I would think that as well. I understand though his feelings. I hurt him when I left and even though he loves me, he is terrified of being hurt again and I get that. I told him to go find someone else, so he did. Now, I changed my mind and finally heard what he has been saying to me for months and now he has to hurt this girl and he hates it. He says they were perfect, got along great, she makes him smile, but he still loves me.
