I am a long time lurker but never made a thread so be gentle with me. Quoting: miabelieves After reading the post today about the chick wanting to get married and a gentleman posted men today want to feel needed and not deal with Fem-Nazis. I said it was more like men only focus on the beauty of the opposite sex. That men don't care of the personality, character and morals as long as the female "looks good". Then the wonder why the end up with self centered woman who only have the me me me attitude. So, of the honest men here on this site give us woman some straight answers so that we may understand what it is you seek. Let the crazies begin. Hi mia, I believe you pretty much covered it...answered your own question. I know this doesn't pertain to ALL men, but it does seem that most only care about looks...which most seem to prefer skinny blonds with fake boobs. And these kind of men couldn't give a shit about personality, intelligence, heart or soul. Since those young men would just end up divorced 50% of the time, anyway ... why should they "settle" for anything less than something that makes their tummy flip every time they see her? Don't blame the messenger, I'm just speaking from what I've seen in the last 2 decades of the world sliding downhill. Maybe if they did not "settle" they would find someone who they would not end up in divorce. I guess that is why I want to know. Most men I know go after the "hottie", I have seen them marry them and than the "hottie", seems to me is an attention ho and starts running around. Now if dude had not settled and found an regular down to Earth gal than he could of had a very loving and trusting relationship that would keep him happy. Or is that old school? Hold on to your undies, it's gonna be a hell of a ride |

I can't speak for all men but I did not focus on the beauty and I made sure first about the personality, character and morals. Maybe its because I was looking for a long term relationship, a wife. You get some hot beautiful women and more often than not, they think they are too good for any man. It is women who mostly focus on looks and I dont mean the mans looks. Their own looks. It is most important to them. They fill their women's mags with beauty, weight loss, cosmetic sugary articles. They obsessive about themselves and how they appear. Then they get anorexia nervosa or some other eating disorder. For men looking for a wife. They what faithful, loyal and good sense of humor. Not someone who is going to try and control what they do, which friends they can have and cant have, what they can wear, when they can go out.... etc. Yes women just love to control everything they can about the man in their life. . |

But seriously, maybe if they weren't so shallow minded and sought out the inside beauty, they'd be able to have a lasting marriage/relationship. But so many men would rather have some hottie with the "perfect" body but no class, heart, intelligence...than have a woman who might not have that model looking body, but they have character, personality, brains and a whole lotta love to give. :infnty: :ihavgsbmp: |

LOL, I was exaggerating a bit to make the point. But still, I'm not far off the mark with that one. It seems that most women in my age group are pretty bitter over their ex-husband/baby-daddy/abusive ex-boyfriend or whatever and are more focused on what they don't want than what they do want. Just look at some women's dating profiles sometimes on a dating site ... it's just a long list of demands. Very few offer anything about themselves or speak of what they have to offer. It's rather heartbreaking and seems like a lost cause at times. "When the facts change, I change my mind. What do you do, sir?" — John M. For one, you can't say that literally every woman in America, is not marriage material. And second, what about American men? I guess they all have good husband qualities, right? Ask my dad who makes the better wife...the American or the foreigner. He and my mom were married for 32 or 33 yrs. They both mutually called it quits and got a divorce. A couple years later, my dad married a woman from the Philippines and he has never been more miserable in his life. When he was married to my mom...who is american btw, she stayed home until all us kids were grown, she cooked everyday for 30 plus years...usually twice a day, sometimes 3 times, raised 6 kids, never cheated on him...she stood by him..in good times and bad and never asked for anything materialistic for herself. All she did was give give give...taking care of her husband and family. Now, my dad's filipino wife does not cook...will not sleep in the same bed with him (I know this because he tells me mom everything), cleans out his bank account all the time, insults his family, insults him...puts him down, tells him he is not good enough. Btw, he and my mom have remained close friends since they got divorced. So you tell me, who is the better wife? :infnty: :ihavgsbmp: |
