When I lived in LA I ended up on snorting meth on and off for 2 years... It eventually gave me paronoid induced phychosis where I also developed symptoms of scitzophrenia (sp?) At the same time I was also drinking every few days and going on major binges while trying to maintain a professional carrer that eventually went down the tubes...

I ended up moving back home to the midwest to get away from the "scene" and people I was around who had the same types of problems. When I went to a doctor back home I lied and said I had been taking adderall for years for my add an that I needed a refill. He didnt do any type of check on my previous medical records so I got him to give me 2 30mgs pills Immediate release 2 x's a day.

Ever since I started taking the adderall and finally had a perscription of it... In my case my life has improved tremendously!!! Somehow it cured my drinking and havent touched any alcohol or had any desire to drink while being on it. It also has kept me from wanting to do any other types of illegal "upper" drugs such as cocaine. We dont get meth out here in the midwest and frankly I wouldnt ever do it again if I even was given the option. I am just fine with my adderall! My parents have also seen a huge improvement in me as I do really have ADD and always have.

There is one problem though... I am addicted to this medicine. I take double my dose a day so I am taking 120 mgs of it instead of 60mgs. I run out 2 weeks early where I end up basically in bed sleeping and miserable untill I can see my doctor for my refill. He will not up my dose because I am already on alot being a girl and 115 lbs.

I seem to sometimes become bi-polar on this medicine as well but for me the benifits have out weighed the risks and from all the trouble and crap I got into when I use to drink... Just from cutting that out of my life my family and friends are tolleratnt of my occasional adderall fits!
