Boy, I'LL say!
They gave me that once and I was happily cleaning every crack and crevice of my house for three days straight!
Are they classified the same? Adderall is a 5. I can't believe it's as potent as Dex.
Quoting: Miggy Hmm, I'm not sure as to which classification system you are referring, however I do know that amphetamine comes in two "forms" (isomers); dextro-rotary (right-handed) and levo-rotary (left-handed). In the case of amphetamine, the two isomers have significantly different effects if consumed alone; dextro-amphetamine is considered the "effective" isomer, while levo-amphetamine is more peripherally active, similar to ephedrine (a chemical precursor of amphetamines). Dexedrine is made of pure dextro-amphetamine. Adderall happens to be 75% dextro-amphetamine, with the rest composed of the less CNS-active levo-amphetamine. So, as a rough guess, Adderall should be 75-90% as potent as Dexedrine, but as you have seen, the pure D-isomer forms do effect some people much more strongly. Quoting: pi 20063747 Pi, is there anyway we can communicate if this thread drops? I notice you're not a member so we can't PM. I really enjoy this intelligence you have on this matter. In the mean time, how come Adderall calms my mind down while Dex sped it up? I KNOW I would have become addicted to Dex the same way I was addicted many years to RX diet pills. But Adderall? I truly feel I can take it or leave it. In my mind it doesn't do a thing for me. As I said, I'd drop it in a minute if my family didn't INSIST they see a remarkable change in me (for the worse) when I'm not on it.
