It's just lovely how Americans think so highly of themselves.

Wouldn't it be a lot easier to limit purchases per buyer?

Where's the need to arrest people for freely speaking of their thoughts and fears?

US leadership considers China to be a good role model. Yes it is definitely their intention to do away with freedoms as soon as possible. It will become painfully clear in March.

And one more point is, what the group is/was saying now has more publicity than they could have hoped for, given it is widely reported across China and the world.

So it is not the information the govt is worried about, it is the irrational, panic behaviour they were trying to incite. It's happened before in China, in fact happens all round the world, but in China, you really don't want half a billion people whipped into a herd mentality that feeds upon itself because people will feel like they will miss out on supplies unless they don't join in.

They just claimed war on China.. No doubt Chinese government arrested them.
