It is important to define what the Galactic Alignment is in precise astronomical terms. (See the Glossary below for terms.)

The Galactic Alignment is the alignment of the December solstice sun with the Galactic equator. This alignment occurs as a result of the precession of the equinoxes.

Precession is caused by the earth wobbling very slowly on its axis and shifts the position of the equinoxes and solstices one degree every 71.5 years. Because the sun is one-half of a degree wide, it will take the December solstice sun 36 years to precess through the Galactic equator (see diagram below).

The precise alignment of the solstice point (the precise center-point of the body of the sun as viewed from earth) with the Galactic equator was calculated to occur in 1998 (Jean Meeus, Mathematical Astronomy Morsels, 1997).

Thus, the Galactic Alignment "zone" is 1998 +/- 18 years = 1980 - 2016. This is "era-2012."

This Galactic Alignment occurs only once every 26,000 years, and was what the ancient Maya were pointing to with the 2012 end-date of their Long Count calendar.

NASA's Swift satellite made the cosmic find last month when it detected a new and rapidly brightening X-ray source a few degrees from the galactic center of the Milky Way

"Blazars, like all AGN, are thought to be ultimately powered by material falling onto a supermassive black hole at the center of the host galaxy. Gas, dust and the occasional star are captured and spiral into this central black hole creating a hot accretion disk which generates enormous amounts of energy in the form of photons, electrons, positrons and other elementary particles. This region is quite small, approximately 10−3 parsecs in size.

There is also a larger opaque toroid extending several parsecs from the central black hole, containing a hot gas with embedded regions of higher density. These "clouds" can absorb and then re-emit energy from regions closer to the black hole. On Earth the clouds are detected as emission lines in the blazar spectrum.

Perpendicular to the accretion disk, a pair of relativistic jets carries a highly energetic plasma away from the AGN. The jet is collimated by a combination of intense magnetic fields and powerful winds from the accretion disk and toroid. Inside the jet, high energy photons and particles interact with each other and the strong magnetic field. These relativistic jets can extend as far as many tens of kiloparsecs from the central black hole.

All of these regions can produce a variety of observed energy, mostly in the form of a nonthermal spectrum ranging from very low frequency radio to extremely energetic gamma rays, with a high polarization (typically a few percent) at some frequencies. The nonthermal spectrum consists of synchrotron radiation in the radio to X-ray range, and inverse Compton emission in the X-ray to gamma-ray region. A thermal spectrum peaking in the ultraviolet region and faint optical emission lines are also present in OVV quasars, but faint or non-existent in BL Lac objects"

These articles point to a different dynamic of a Black Hole eating. A jet, as apposed to a "wave", May I suggest to go to The NASA web site.

View the images you're self. I think you will find the wave, or moving .. matter is just not visable. No advanceing matter moving at near the speed of light. I'm not even gonna go into how the near speed of light and distances involved affect the theory.

Read about the flare here. Notice how they don't mention if it is facing our solar system, and if so when would it arrive.

Not that of a stupid thought AC. His point is, are we possibly gonna cross paths with the energy released from this flare out of our Milky Way's massive Black Hole and or Sun.

The fluff is alleged to be the remenants of a neutron star explosion, whereas the great rift, or "dark rift", is a series of overlapping, non-luminous, molecular dust clouds.

Almost as ignorant as the guy in the videos.
I listened to a fair bit of the first one.... He hasn't got a clue.
Doesn't even understand what a supernova is.... and thinks that black holes can emit pulsars..

VERY OLD ideas being presented here, AS nowhere does authors refer to the fact that OUR SOLAR SYSYEM is NOT part of the Milky Way Galaxy, but merely being captured BY the M.W. G.

Sad that OLD ideas/people live so long and are still being presented as fact.
