If these people value the lives of their kids and loved ones, they had better be bugging out. I cannot believe people are still living there.
Quoting: my2centsworth 2cents, consider that not everyone can pick up and leave or head for the hills, even in a frightening and serious situation like what's happening in LA . . . some don't have money/resources, some people have no family, may have no one to stay with and can't afford a hotel or other housing, they may have other family in the area who can't leave, etc.
