Re: Squirrel DOOM
I found a squirrel in my yard just a few minutes ago. He kept running in tight circles to the right. When I walked in his path he just ran right over my boots in the same circle.

I picked him up to see if he had bath salts residue on his whiskers and noticed he had blood around his nose. His teeth were fine. He kept nibbling my gloves.

I put him back in the yard and got a little pet carrier to put him in. Once in he is just sitting there. I put in water and a few veggies. He is just hanging out right now.

If he is fine in the morning I'll let him loose if not I'll put him down. He was not bit by anything or hit by a car. I have never seen one fall out of a tree. What would cause him to bleed from the nose and act screwy?

Usually when anything bleeds from the nose its had some sort of trauma happen to it. Its not rabies. It would not bleed just foam at the mouth and act aggressive.

Distemper maybe but I doubt it. It may not look like its had an accident but could have. Just don't let it bite you just in case.

Your a good soul for caring about that little critter. God bless. 5 stars for caring. .

Re: Squirrel DOOM
Vitamin K , administered intravenously is the antidote to the most common type of rat poison. If they are already bleeding badly, it's too late though

Actually. The instant cure for ingestion of poison is this. Get about an ounce of salt and pour it down there throats. Warm water with it of course. but just enough to dissolve it and to be able to pour it. Works great. Confirmed it with the vet. Makes them throw it up. Works for humans too.

Re: Squirrel DOOM
I have heard to give 2 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide if a dog eats rat poison. Makes them throw-up.

Re: Squirrel DOOM
Ha! Bob (what I named him) showed up again today. The little guy is still alive. I was bringing in the trash cans and he followed be back to the garage. I tossed him some almonds and he hung out for a few minutes. He ate I had a smoke and we parted ways.

He still tips over out of the blue, but he seems fine other than that.

Kind of bad ass!!
That is all...
