I was stunned when I saw how skinny this model is on TV.. We have grand-daughters and I'd hate for them to try and look like this model... brings me back to the "Twiggy" days.. just crazy! In highschool there were two girls who died before they were 18 because they wanted to look like "Twiggy"... God forbid that ever happens again.

Young girls need to see that real beauty looks healthy not anorexic!

It's gross. The majority of the chicks in this thread complaining that the girls are "too skinny" are probably cows.

I’m watching a program called “48 hours” on TV and they ran an ad for “narciso rodrigues only at kohl's” advertisement that just disgusted me… the models they use are absolutely anorexic! My God..

I thought we were long past this sort of thing.

The models are in the top ad on this page, wearing the pink and mauve dresses. They look absolutely skinny in the picture at this site.. but the ad on TV with them dancing and moving around really hi-lights their anorexic condition.

I thought models were now supposed to be looking healthier than they used to.. sure not happening on this ad.

I don't buy that... Many guys buy into that statement (but of course they want the girl to have big boobs, too). If you are normal weight and pump your boobs up to a 36DDD you will look fat. So a lot of these girls (some still in their teens) starve themselves to lose all their body fat and then they pump up their boobs and many of the guys go wild over that look. Thank God for the ones who like their girls to look normal and have a little junk in the trunk.

Just think about the girls with bad backs from carrying around two big bags of goo, the ones who have osteoporosis from being too thin - not to mention malnutrition, throat issues from forced barfing, skin cancer from over exposure to the sun, etc. That lifestyle is not healthy.

Simple. When White men realized that the curvacious market was already cornered already by the Black and Latin women. They knew they could never get their white women to make a dent in that market. After all, only white women naturally are stick figures.

OP, is this the commercial? If not, there are other Kohls/Rodrigues commercials with those two young women on youtube.

As for the girls, I see a lot of extremes....crack whore thin or hefers. Girls need to be taught at an EARLY AGE about stuff like marketing, advertising, how a lot of it is aimed specifically at them, how marketers use psychological techniques to brainwash them,marketing techniques like creating fear, loss of social status, insecurity, etc., in order to get them to buy this or that, peer pressure, the whole nine yards. Girls and women seem to be particularly prone to these types of pressures, especially when they regard a potential loss of social status and popularity unless you look, act,a certain way, dress a certain way, etc.,

So you dont like people telling other people their fat...

It's a total mindfuck directed strictly at girls/women. I'm somewhere between a size 5 and 9, depending on the brand. How is it possible to fit a 5 one minute and not the next? It's usually the more expensive brands that "make" me a size 9, probably trying to make me feel fat. LOL Straight up BS!
