Blessed Salt against a flood in the basement

You can bless your food with Blessed salt too.
Purchase a box of Morton Salt, whatever kind and
ask a priest to bless it. You do not have to be
Roman Catholic. Go to the Parish office with your
request and if you're Catholic, ask Father after
Sunday Mass.

PRAYERS - BLESSED SALT (against flood in basement)


And the men of the city said to Eliseus: Behold the situation of this city is very good, as thou, my lord, seest: but the waters are very bad, and the ground barren. And he said: Bring me a new vessel, and put salt into it. And when they had brought it, He went out to the spring of the waters, and cast the salt into it, and said: Thus saith the Lord: I have healed these waters, and there shall be no more in them death or barrenness. And the waters were healed unto this day, according to the word of Eliseus, which he spoke. 2 Kings 2, 19-22


PRAYERS WHILE USING BLESSED SALT- Anna Zielski, O.F.S.


1. Say: "In the most precious Name of Jesus. Amen", while sprinkling blessed salt.
You can bless yourself making the sign of the holy cross (1 time) or in 4 directions of the whole world.

2 "Eternal Father, I ask You in the Name of Jesus and through this blessed salt bless me and forgive me of my wrongdoings. On the touch of this blessed salt and in the Name of Jesus may all evil spirits flee from me and my home (basement, ,car, train, plane, etc.) right now to the bottomless pit of hell and stay there forever. Amen. Amen. Amen."
While saying one of these prayers, sprinkle the blessed salt:

1) in drinking water or used in cooking or as food seasoning (it brings astonishing spiritual and physical benefits);

2) as a medication - place at least 7 grains of blessed salt and say 7 times "in the Name of Jesus may I be healed."

3) across thresholds, all the entryways and windows to prevent burglary;

4) you can bless yourself making the sign of the holy cross or in 4 directions of the whole world.

5) in every corner of your room and house;

6) in basement against flood;

7) in your vehicle for safety;

8) in your wallet;

9)) inside suitcase before trip, etc.


According to Father John Hampsch, blessed salt is an instrument of grace to preserve one from the corruption of evil occurring as sin, sickness, demonic influence, etc.
