US President Barack Obama has agreed to hold direct talks on Iran’s nuclear program with its leaders, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Is this a surprise?

This disclosure, despite its subsequent denial by the White House, has three clear objects:

1. To slow down the Republican contender Mitt Romney’s momentum in opinion polls ahead of the Nov. 6 election. Obama’s campaign advisers believe the president’s willingness to engage Iranian leaders directly on their nuclear program, in contrast to Romney’s tougher stance, will appeal to the American voter’s reluctance for US military action.

2. To preempt Romney’s presumed plan to drop the disclosure of the back-channel dialogue as a bombshell in their last debate on foreign policy scheduled for Monday, Oct. 22 in Florida.

3. To reassure Tehran that the Austere Challenge 12 joint US-Israeli war game starting Sunday Oct. 21 – albeit in reduced form - will not be the opening shot for an “October surprise” on Iran.

Yes, our POSPOTUS and Sec of State did nothing except plot the lie that would allow them to blame a video. In addition, every closed circuit camera on every base, consulate, and embassy has an IP adddress that is connected to a network that is viewed by the NSA. Just the way a home owner or business person watches their property when they are offsite.
These POS were able to view the entire building at street level, and inside while the assasinations were taking place.

Ahmad Abu Khattala has admitted being at the consulate during the horrific attack but has yet to be questioned by any Libyan authorities.

Abu Khattala spoke to a New York Times reporter Thursday from a hotel patio as he sipped a strawberry frappe and mocked the US and Libyan governments.

“These reports say that no one knows where I am and that I am hiding,” he boasted. “But here I am in the open, sitting in a hotel with you. I’m even going to pick up my sister’s kids from school soon.”

What I want to know is whether Ambassador Stevens and his team were the only ones there, or were there ither embassy personell there and if so, how comes everyone BUT Ambassador Stevens and his team been left behind?

Unfortunately, the idea that this was a kidnapping gone wrong actually fits in with the Administration’s actions and behavior afterwards. The 2 Seals were the unexpected that turned this into an actual fight. I’d like to know what their mission there was, I don’t believe it was security.

They could’ve scrambled jets from Italy….if for no other reason than to get them the hell out of there!! Obama turned down the option of using the military when he was made aware of the ongoing attack 90 minutes after it began….I remember all of this being reported last month!!
