Nils Greskewitz, who police say is connected to militant environmentalist group Sea Shepherd, allegedly bent the harpoon part of the statue in Whale Beach Park on Monday, a police spokesman said. Greskewitz is said to have bent the harpoon part on the statue of a whaler in Whale Beach Park. The police reports say that he had been hanging from that part of the 3 meter (10 feet) high statue, and it didn’t support his weight. Greskewitz has said that it was not his intent to cause damage.
