No one can free you from this promise except the person to whom you have given it | |

Your words are recorded on the etheric plane, just as if you had put your promise in writing. No one can free you from this promise except the person to whom you have given it. If he is indulgent and understanding, he can release you from it, and if not you must go through with it. You will say you are going to speak to the Lord about it, but there is no point, because the Lord cannot go against laws he himself has decreed. Yes, God is all-powerful, but not in the way religion makes him out to be. Since the world he created rests on laws, and since he too has agreed to live in this world, he obeys his own decrees. God’s greatness lies in this, not in overturning universal laws on a whim. Outside his creation he does what he likes, but within his creation he cannot transgress the laws he himself has established. It is not God, therefore, who can release you from your promises." |
