Re: Obama promises tax payer money to cover litigation costs
Due to defense cuts in January, defense contractors will have to lay off 1000's. Obama wants defense contracters to ignore the 60 day notice required by the WARN law in firing employees. In compensation, Obama promised to cover any litigation costs using tax payer dollars.

I suppose Obama is afraid he will lose votes. The legal 60 day notice would require defense contracters to give notice before elections. Obama would rather just fire them at the first of 2013 with no notice.

Not a problem ... he can throw a few billion tax payer money at any litigation.

This is wrong. Telling people to break the law. This is dirty and so twisted. Anything to win or keep a vote.

No lengthy thoughts necessary, this is clearly without question a political ploy at our expense. It is illegal and will ultimately either help vote this evil tyrant out, create more means for impeachment or cause the populace to rise up against tyranny. Sick...just sick how bold and brazen this guy is. America...you should be OUTRAGED!

You summarized very succintly. Thanks. I am outraged.

An alternative that only a Communist, America-hating Muslim lawyer could come up with.

Please God, either remove this guy or remove the rest of us. We aren't compatible.

Well the only good thing that's come from this presidential election is that Obama is taking 85% of the DNC money for his election campaign, meaning democratic Senators and Congressmen are running VERY VERY short on funds to defend their seats...

This is how you get blacklisted as a contractor!

The old guys understand this, but the new generation will not.

Setting them up to fail.

i still think this is a huge story which is being ignored.

from fox news:

"Sen. John Thune, R-S.D., also said it was "troubling that the Obama administration would openly encourage the violation of federal law and offer to pay the legal fees that resulted."

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., claimed Obama was trying to prevent layoff notices from hitting mailboxes "right before the election."

"This is typical Barack Obama politics -- being supportive of the WARN Act when convenient and against it when it creates political downside," Graham said. "This is the most outcome-based White House in memory."

Lockheed Martin has reportedly already backed off threats to issue thousands of layoff warnings ahead of the election, in response to the administration's latest assurances and guidance."

I too, feel encouraged to violate federal law, as should everybody! Our dear leader has made it very clear that rules are meant to be broken. So go forth, ignore the laws, just tell the cops Obama said it was ok.

Trust me when I say this, no one in the defense industry votes democrats.
Why would someone vote for a party who constantly says that they hate you and want you to be unemployed?

This will get Private contractors blacklisted forever & push them out of country or in to retirement. Infact that seems to be the plan.

The old guys will not fall for it, but some of the new generation might.
