They're talking about building a literal harpoon to literally attach a spacecraft to a comet in order to study it. They are not talking about building a telescope to hunt for new comets. That's a job already being done by many telescopes around the globe, including those used by ISON. That is not what your article is talking about at all. Learn to read, then maybe you can get a job and not have to sponge off your mother in her basement anymore.

Who is this Mother Shipton I have been reading a little about?...Is she another Nancy type?

On JPL it comes in from above the plane of the ecliptic and briefly goes below it near the sun. Northern hemisphere should get a good show for this one.

Thank you, I've witnessed many electrical shorts and arcs as a career contractor and I've always been fascinated by electricity and the general theory of electrically charged particles.

Mainstream teaching don't address outside the box thinking and furthering the field of applying to all the universe as being an important part of what we know and understand so far.

Looking through the historical noteworthy 'not doom' Comets list with return orbits between 400-700 years, this one is expected to not return again.
There are others too that pass through and don't come back.

Again, the size of a comet's coma has nothing to do with its mass. It is nowhere near the mass of Jupiter.
