Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24334890 Or Almond oil. If you have none try Olive Oil I would add to this 'tea tree oil' u can warm any of these oils a little bit..not too much. antibiotics is a must for ear infection. cotton ball good idea. put oil in, and lay on your side for a few minutes, as long as you can, to keep the oil in your ear, put a cotton ball in the ear, this will help keep the oil in the ear. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 18335718 I would recommend getting someone else to do the candling, as it's pretty tricky trying to do it yourself, and you don't want to end up burning up your hair or whatnot. But it does great on drawing out allllll that stuff, and if you use H2O2 first, the stuff will be softer and come out more easily. Hope you get some relief! |

A few things I've heard about and a couple I haven't. I'm just glad no one suggested urine lol. All of the older people I've talked to seem to be hooked on that remedy. I tried the peroxide the heat pads and the blow dryer. Seems to have helped, I feel much better now. :) Last Edited by Debauchery on 09/24/2012 08:39 AM And the LORD spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin, then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Quoting: scorpio66 anyway, good luck, hope you feel better soon as earaches are one of the worst things to endure! I have never really had any earaches/infections so I cannot speak from personal experience, other than with cauliflower ear, lol but I am assuming that is not your issue. I would go get it checked for infection if possible, then if it is, they will give you some antibiotics. Last Edited by Patrick Bateman on 09/24/2012 01:05 PM |

(it enters from the ear!!) your welcome OP B U M P Bacteria harbors in the eustachian tubes. 3% Drugstore Hydrogen Peroxide works. Take High Doses (5 grams/day, divided doses) of VITAMIN C, PURE, in powdered form. Swallow some (peeled) whole garlic cloves to flush the bacteria or virus from the blood. DO NOT TAKE ANTI-BIOTICS! (This destroys your immune system!) DO NOT TRY TO LOWER YOUR TEMPERATURE! This was the OLD recommendation for fighting illness. It is now know that a relatively high temperature is FIGHTING the illness, don't lower your temperature with pills. If you Temp gets too high (104-105), go to the emergency room. STOP! Eating processed foods and other toxins that lower your immune system. REMOVE! All chemicals from your home... such as deodorants with Aluminum (especially), chemical fragrants and cleansers. DO! I've read a couple of older threads but I seem to be missing or am out of a couple of things suggested..oil of oregano I don't have, I don't really want to put piss in my ear and I'm not sure of anything else that's safe to stick in there. I have about 3 hours of making breakfast, packing lunches and getting kids ready for school so the vicodin I have is out of the question til they're gone, so I need a little help to get me by for a few hours, if you'd all be so kind as to recommend something that has worked for you and isn't to complicated I'd appreciate it. I'm not lazy..just not keen on moving around much right now, hurts too much. The irony. Was about to post this on facebook from family and friends. Post your home remedies. Mainly because I have the same issue. Heat, heat will elevate the pain. Seriously. get a heating pad and take asprin. One thing my parents did when I was a child as I got them quite often. Boil up hot water with baby oil in it (no idea of the amount of water to oil-wish I did). Drop a few drops with an eye dropper or something into your ear. Cover the ear with a cotton ball using surgical tape, The white tape. Then lay down with that ear facing down. It always worked. Its cleaning, melting the built up moisture (Swimming?) or build up ear wax (Combined?). Symptoms vary. [link to www.emedicinehealth.com] Was always swimming with me or moisture combined with built up ear wax. Even though I do clean my ears. All depends were you live. Since I hardly ever go swimming I hardly get them. But the way the weather has been lately I have been going through many, many changes myself. Stuff that happend as child only coming back. Things that only happen in certain seasons out of season. Heating pad, same deal. But may want to to put a towel, paper or whatever down. Otherwise your pad will get icky ear wax all over it. Headaches too for heating pads. Its awesome. Take some asprin, lay head on pad and relax a bit. Also useful for back problems. Asprin, hot ass shower pounding the painful area while a heating pad is warming up waiting for you when you get out. |
