In a world full of stresses, this really is a feel good story! Kris, a city transit bus driver, saw a homeless man walking barefoot one day, the next day, it was cold and Kris saw the homeless man again walking on the sidewalk barefoot. Kris pulled his bus over, got out, and gave the homeless man the shoes off of his own feet, then walked back to the bus on sock feet, got into the drivers seat and continued his route. Never did Kris think another thing about his act of kindness, but one of his passengers told people about it and Kris’s act of kindness was soon on a local station and spread like wild fire. When I first heard this story I thought it might have been my little brother because he drives for Winnipeg Transit, then I realized it's not his route, and he probably wouldn't give up his shoes. But it's still pretty amazing, especially when you consider alot of the crap the bus drivers deal with here. Wouldn't it be great to heal the world, with only a song?

In my OWN singles group, I met a single mother of three, and in subsequent conversation, found out she had NO place to have Thanksgiving dinner, and no food for it either. Took her home, so I knew where she lived. Went to supermaket next day, and bought the Turkey, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, etc. Then delivered same by leaving them outside her apartment door, knocked and went away. Thanksgiving is one VERY lonely time for singles with children and no immediate family to turn to. Ask one to your house this year. Eagle
