Good Samaritan bus driver gives the shoes off of his feet, to a barefoot homeless man. | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 23673522 Mexico 09/20/2012 07:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In a world full of stresses, this really is a feel good story! Quoting: my2centsworth Kris, a city transit bus driver, saw a homeless man walking barefoot one day, the next day, it was cold and Kris saw the homeless man again walking on the sidewalk barefoot. Kris pulled his bus over, got out, and gave the homeless man the shoes off of his own feet, then walked back to the bus on sock feet, got into the drivers seat and continued his route. Never did Kris think another thing about his act of kindness, but one of his passengers told people about it and Kris’s act of kindness was soon on a local station and spread like wild fire. Truly a wonderful story The full story is here: [link to winnipeg.ctvnews.ca] If he could donate his suit and shaving cream and tonnes of axe to hide his aroma eau naturel, then homeless man can allly for a job. Heck he could even give him a ride if he pulls the windows down and opens all doors. |

Has society gotten so worn down by all the world stresses, that we can no longer see the good in people? |

However, I wish he didn't use this kind act for a photo-op....that's all. watching the "run up" to the elections and the "hopes and dreams" that are built as a result is like watching a dead mouse that is still able to make his exercise wheel go around because his nerves are still twitching that familiar motion... |

The interview wasn't the bus drivers' doing. He really is a nice guy. |

Behind every myth lies a mystery, and every legend holds an echo of the truth …… Que Sera Sera "For not by numbers of men nor by measure of body but by valor of soul is war decided" Bilisarius " At the siege of Vienna in 1683 Islam seemed poised to overrun Christian Europe. We are in a new phase of a very old war." Gates of Vienna. The Myth
User ID: 1542655 Canada 09/20/2012 09:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | When I first heard this story I thought it might have been my little brother because he drives for Winnipeg Transit, then I realized it's not his route, and he probably wouldn't give up his shoes. But it's still pretty amazing, especially when you consider alot of the crap the bus drivers deal with here. Wouldn't it be great to heal the world, with only a song? |

From what I've seen, when riding the bus, I wouldn't want to be a transit driver, that is for sure. It makes Kris's kindness all that much more special. |

Eagle # 1 User ID: 1259909 United States 09/20/2012 09:38 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In my OWN singles group, I met a single mother of three, and in subsequent conversation, found out she had NO place to have Thanksgiving dinner, and no food for it either. Took her home, so I knew where she lived. Went to supermaket next day, and bought the Turkey, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, etc. Then delivered same by leaving them outside her apartment door, knocked and went away. Thanksgiving is one VERY lonely time for singles with children and no immediate family to turn to. Ask one to your house this year. Eagle |
