A piece of paper 400 years after the alleged death of Jesus.

-humanized heroes sell better than morally upright, hard to emulate ones.

- the masses prefer romantic stories

- a married Jesus in a romantic relationship would have been an easier to sell to some of the polytheistic masses who believed their gods were in romantic relationships with each other. Certain sects or cults may have changed the backstory of Jesus to recruit more people.

An intellectually inclined revolutionary leader that was convicted of heresy by his own people and then crucified would have been a harder sell. This Jesus would be harder to relate to.

- Jesus was a busy man, educated, probably well read. Maybe his lack of sex drive pushed him to more intellectual, political, and religious pursuits than getting laid.

- who said exceptional people have to be normal or conventional? Jesus was a non-conformist and rabble-rouser according to the story. He influenced history. His name has been influential for 2000 years. An extraordinary person, indeed.

- Making it 33 year as a virgin is not unheard of. Isaac Newton allegedly died a virgin and as an exceptional individual who shaped the world. Who said that extraordinary people have to ordinary?

Vestal virgins usually made into their 30s and 40s without sex, allegedly.

Lack of sex drive can probably shift the minds focus to more intellectual pursuits.

- Rabbi are lay preachers. In those days they were like deacons. In those day jewish people/Hebrews had priests and a temple.

- Jesus was a "rabbi" in name... that's what they called lay preachers. And he was convicted as a heretic by the mainstream. Not being married could have been a reason why the traditionalists had a problem with him.

- Why couldn't Jesus have been asexual? He was a carpenter by trade. Very busy. How did he spend his free time? Did he read and ponder things instead of thinking about chicks?
