Brutally Pragmatic User ID: 1365579 United States 08/22/2012 06:22 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's Time For Republicans To Get Over Todd Akin. The Senate's gone. Deal with it. Grasping at straws won't change what happened. Any chance of taking the Senate in November is gone. It's time to wake up from the "shining city on a hill" delusion and face cold, hard reality.
What's done is done and the GOP will just have to move forward, cut their losses and hedge their bets. All the yelling, screaming and throwing fits by conservative talk show hosts, columnists and politicians are obvious symptoms of denial.
Because of what happened, conservatives will have to accept retaining the House. In the event Obama gets a second term, he won't get anything done. |

Hardly a libtard. I voted straight-line Republican in the last two elections and Libertarian before that. All the conservatives screaming for Akin's head are acting no better than Democrats when someone says something politically incorrect. If they keep this up, I may go back to voting Libertarian this year. |

Today's republicans are just like the citizen of Salem during the Witch trials. If a man couldn't get his way or if a woman was envious then someone was a Witch casting spells and someone had to BURN.
They have lost all ability for rational thought. |

Republicans are fucked because people actually agree with Todd Akin. That's enough to coerce any independents to steer clear of the GOP, not like the DNC or the other 3rd parties are worth it either D: |
