Petition: Daniel Larsen is Proven Innocent in Court, but He's Being Kept in Prison Anyway
[link to www.change.org]

In July 2008, the California Innocence Project filed a habeas petition in the Federal District Court for the Central District of California. One year later, the court held an evidentiary hearing in which three witnesses testified as to Daniel's innocence. Among the witnesses were the Chief of Police and his wife. After a hearing on the matter, the federal court found not only that Daniel was innocent but also that his trial attorney's representation was constitutionally deficient in failing to call these witnesses at the time of his trial.

On June 14, 2010, the District Court judge reversed his conviction and ordered him released. But he remains in prison pending the Attorney General's appeal.

What bothers me the most about this is that he's being kept in prison while he's been declared innocent. But hey, let's JUST KEEP HIM THERE ANYWAY! It's not bad enough that his "defense" fucked him so badly to begin with... no. Now let's just keep him in prison because he didn't present his evidence soon enough, and we want the money for having him there!

I don’t feel sorry for him at all. He knew EXACTLY what he was getting into when he went to the USA.

The US is the leader is secret prisons/torture, executing the innocent and innocent prisoners who rot and die in their gulags. Especially the undesirables, like Blacks and Native Indians. This is nothing new it's just part of the US system of justus. It's a country with no freedoms of any real value, except perhaps the right to bear arms which is helpful I suppose (not against the government weapons of course) but it make offers the stupid Americans a sense of security no matter how false it is. I feel for the guy.\

Why should anyone have to sign shit in connection with him or anyone else? If the so called land of freedom and justice wants to make itself look like North Korea, then let it do just that.

It's a petition, douche. People tend to sign them to try and raise awareness or stand up for a cause they believe in. Considering that you don't "feel sorry for him," for some stupid fucking reason, then don't sign it. It's not about doing it because you "have to." It's really not that complicated.
