JAMES Richard Ferrario killed Deputy Robert PARIS, 53, and Glendon Engert, 35 on April 12th, 2012. PARIS was a veteran of the Stanislaus County Sheriff's office for 16 years. FBI, DEA, ATF and others were on scene for one California's longest standoff's ever...a NATIONALLY televised event. Body was found surrounded by firearms and gas grenades. He had video surveillance of his immediate area, had booby traps set up and was wearing body armor and a gas mask. It was believed that Ferrario refused to be evicted from his home, which was why the deputy was there in the first place...to evict the shooter. Police stated this was a lone shooter.


"Ferrario was found in the bathroom of his apartment surrounded by an arsenal that indicated he was ready for a long standoff, Armendariz said."

Aurora, Colorado shooting

On July 20, 2012, a mass shooting occurred at a Century movie theater in Aurora, Colorado, during a midnight screening of the film The Dark Knight Rises. A gunman, dressed in tactical clothing, set off tear gas grenades and shot into the audience with multiple firearms, killing 12 people and injuring 58 others. The sole suspect is James Eagan Holmes, who was arrested outside the theater within minutes after the shooting began.

The attack occurred in theater 9 at the Century 16 multiplex (operated by Cinemark), located at the Town Center at Aurora shopping mall at 14300 E. Alameda Avenue, Police said the shooter bought a ticket, entered the theater, and sat in the front row; about 20 minutes into the film, he left the building through an emergency exit door, which he propped open.

When apprehended, Holmes told the police that he had booby-trapped his apartment with explosive devices before heading to the movie theater.

Oak Creek, Wisconsin shooting (little info as of right now, but building)

"A gunman allegedly killed six people and wounded three others before being shot dead by a police officer at a Sikh temple outside of Milwaukee Sunday morning.


The gunman allegedly shot one police officer who was helping a victim ten times. The officer survived the shooting. The suspected gunman was later confronted and killed by another officer outside the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin in Oak Creek, near Milwaukee. Officials have indicated this is likely the work of a lone gunman." The temple is located on 13 acres.
