Obama campaign office window smashed during Occupy protest

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- A window at President Barack Obama's Oakland campaign office was smashed Friday night as a group of protesters marched through downtown.
A group of 100-200 Occupy Oakland protesters began marching down Telegraph Avenue after being denied a permit to protest near the First Friday event at Art Murmur.

OAKLAND, Calif. — President Barack Obama's campaign office in Oakland had a mess to clean up Saturday morning.
Around 9:30 p.m. Friday night, some demonstrators broke away from an Occupy Oakland protest march and smashed the windows of the campaign office on Telegraph Avenue.
They were protesting a police shooting that took the life of an 18-year-old high school student in May.

There was no word Saturday morning on how many, if any, were arrested.
Some shouted "leave marijuana alone," apparently opposing the recent federal crackdown on pot clubs.

Just imagine what would be happening if OWS and The Tea Party hadn't been tricked into thinking they're enemies. There was real change on the horizon until the masses fell into their same old partisan BS.

Occupy Oakland briefly resurfaces, Obama Headquarters Smashed

August 4, 2012 - Occupy Oakland seemed to reemerge for a few hours yesterday evening, in the form of a roving dance party that made its way through downtown behind a large banner that read “Fuck The Permits, Fuck The Police.”

Tonight, many venders and artists ignored last month’s threat of being ticketed, and set their tables in illegal spaces.
Police kept their distance tonight, though, as the dance-protest roved up and down the streets, with demonstrators chatting “fuck the police” between songs.
Many bystanders cheered when they saw the “Fuck the Police” banner as the dance party approached. Residents of Oakland are still outraged over the police murder of 21-year-old Oscar Grant, who was shot by a transit officer in a crowded BART station on New Year's Day in 2009. The transit officer, Johannes Mehserle, was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in July 2010, despite publicly released videos showing Mehserle pinning Grant to the ground before shooting him in the back.

Last Friday, several hundred Oaklanders marched in solidarity with the growing Anaheim police resistance movement, and a window was broken at a bar where police officers are known to drink.
During tonight’s roving dance party, as demonstrators passed 19th and Telegraph Ave, a large section of the fence surrounding the former site of Occupy Oakland was pulled down. Many still remember the police raids of Occupy last fall, when protestors were beaten, tear-gassed, and had their belongings destroyed by police.

You need to understand, there IS a fundamental difference on how both sides SEE THE WORLD...
Yes, we know both party's dance to the same puppet master. But there is a difference between Gay Marriage and traditional marriage. Between slaughtering baby's or letting them live...etc.

It's a relevant argument.

I see that as secondary. While you/we argue and fuss about these, they steal our country. Instead of eating GMO chicken sandwiches and worrying about gays (which is really silly, imo), and mocking those in the streets trying to DO something, maybe join to defeat the REAL owners of us slaves. Thats what we will soon become. Slaves to corporations.

I should note, I think the Blac Bloc (not occupy) did this. Those guys are suspicious and I suspect they are there as agent provocateurs. They show up in black disguise, and some have been exposed as COPS.
