It's to represent the fact that everyone deserves free health care and that without that health care they could have died of their illness... We have a phage therapy clinic in Tbilisi, and you can buy phages for various treatments over the counter. They've used phages for many years in Georgia and they've been trying to commercialise it for a long time - without much success until recently, but I'm not sure I trust the doctors here to tell you the truth about whether it actually works as well as billed - it's not in their own selfish interests to do so.
