Hey....anyone remember the Encinada thing when it got reported 'quietly' that lots of people in the know or elite were told to evacuate because of the threat of a really BIG one erupting or something really bad coming? I think that was last fall???

Yes, they had the EQ machine to alert them, supposably Cali does not have that.

I don’t think its coming, I feel it coming, I have been waking up the past week from what feels like tremors but I wake up check the USGS and nothing...like a spidey sense kind of thing.

I live next to Long Beach and know what you mean about the gas smell coming from the drilling platforms. There are no drilling platforms, to my knowledge at least, off of the San Diego coast.

There might be pipes up and down the coastline, but also there are large pockets of oil and methane. I'm thinking that this is more of a natural occurrence, like the ground moving under the ocean producing and oil and methane burp, like what happens sometimes before an earthquake.

That's just my feeling on it anyway, I'm doubting that it's from a broken pipe or anything manmade.

I have lived here a long time and they haven't "popped-off" here like that before.

I live in Hollywood Hills and have never smelled any gas odors in all the years I've lived here. Except when a stove burner was accidentally left on. Where are you living that gas odors are "normal"?!

Ugh, yeah it is.

LNG does not produce an odor and therefore they chemically treat it to emit the smell that you smell.

I grew up in Long Beach also and I don't know what you are talking about, Fume pockets never heard of smelled of it.
Bottom line, People in San Diego know when something is out of the norm, they live there! In all my years living at the ocean in so cal, never heard of this.

O.K. it's me again. I live in SD close to La Jolla and my toilet has been bubbling all morning. Is this happening to anyone else in this area? It makes me think of the houses coming off their foundations in Louisiana was it? The other thing I failed to mention cause I forgot about it was besides the green patches on the water there also seemed to be lights in certain areas. My family members said they thought it might be divers, but I don't know cause they were down there for hours and I have never seen that before when having a fire there, which we have done numerous times in the past. I am really starting to feel sort of freaked out by all of this. Any ideas?? And yes I know, call a plumber! LOL
