Took a while to get the courage to ask for a reading, but in the meantime it has been wonderful to see readings prepared for others. Everything seems to show that no matter what life deals us, there is a reason for, and a lesson in everything -- our own experiences and learning from the experiences of others being equally important. I think that is a reason this thread is so popular, is that we are given an opportunity to learn through others as well. User ID: 20117911 United States 08/10/2012 11:27 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Oh Thank You for offering, Sandi. Anything for insight connecting then and now. What a gift that would be for my mind/heart. Can you please? :) ! Quoting: DawaSatso New York. It's the 1850's and Parisian fashion has had a hold on NY. But the fashion reform is in full swing and you absolutely adore the new fashions... and the Parisian ones, as you always have. Walking past the windows, you are fascinated by the dresses there, and the new practical wear for women. But you are an American Indian slave, and all of these things are "not for you". In fact, "not for you" would define this entire lifetime... The 'darkie' that you adore is also "not for you". For years now, you have loved him, and now he's to be married to another slave. What you don't know is that the Bloodhound law has been passed. So when he comes to you in the darkness of the night and asks you to run away with him, you go. Many have escaped to the North, you know, so you sneak out together with the help of the other slaves. Fleeing with stolen food from the kitchens of the Great House, you make your way North together. Four days later, you hear them. The dogs. Their deep belling call is terrifying, and you and your love run for it. Into the darkness you flee, seeking hope in any form. It never comes, but the dogs do. First they kill your love, and then they set onto you. When the hunters come, they laugh, kicking your love's corpse. "This one won't make it back," they laugh. Then they cheer the dogs on as the dogs ensure that you, also, will never make it back. For these men don't hunt to return, they hunt for sport. You are mauled to death by the half-starved hunting hounds, with laughter in your ears. Freedom, like the fashions of NY and the man you loved... is not for you. I invite you to remember that God wishes for you, all good things. To have desires is not death, to want things is not evil. To care for yourself when the need arises is right and appropriate and life-giving for you and your family. Whoa, SandiT does this ever resonate. I so deeply thank you for your thought and time you so kindly set aside to do this. Just so happens I was born in NYC of french canadian descent and the frustrations you describe hit me to the bone. Raised 8 1/2 on the abuse scale of intensity, such intricate evil like imprisoned slavery. Quite a story. The gift is insight based on decency like your own, at a very high price. Still revulsed by common approach to competition and hadn't enough of a material "desire nature" to begin with. Humans still shock the hell out of me and mostly opt out of the grabby societal thing which too often requires traps and pretense gamey interaction. I find it hard to pretend preferring getting to the heart of what truly matters in this life, which is love and genuine mercy. Discern, have a two-edged sword handy. It is true that I've "done without" in ways that are a birthright. I don't feel that desires are death as you put it, and have a well developed sense of discerning taste... I just avoid the DOGFIGHTS, LOL! You are a jewel among humans SandiT, your eyes penetrate to the heart. Yes, it's the life-giving shove that seems to be missing witinin me, invisible shackles that involve intricate contributing factors. 'God' is a theistic notion for the most part but I have experienced some darn good magic and have built in reverence ;) Love you, sweetie. I know all about how inhospitality can haunt a human being. and can see you are "equipped" to be one of the rare wayshowers of the heart without the BS. User ID: 18329162 United States 08/15/2012 12:15 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In the background is the radio, broadcasting the news of an invasion. Your family quickly prepares, your father especially terrified by the announcement. He has long spoke of exactly such a possibility, and you have always listened skeptically. But now the day has come, and your family is bundled out of the house before the radio can even continue its crackly, distorted announcement. Quickly grabbing only what you each can carry, you are led through the woods away from the house. Darkness has already fallen, and the eerie glow of the lantern in your father's hand and the beam from your mother's flashlight as she searches the woods for 'the things that go bump in the night' increase your mounting terror. The radio, desperately clutched by your little sister, is silent now, but the warning is unquestionable... death is coming from the skies above. At last, you are all piled into the underground bunker and your father sits the shotgun down. He realizes that he forgot something, though, and stops to tell your mother that he'll be back. He must let the animals out, so that they won't starve to death. It's the proper thing to do, the humane thing. So your small family hunker down together, until there's a terrible sound outside. Uncertain of what the loud 'bang!' is, your mother grabs the shotgun. She's never used one before, and her hands shake in terror, but she's determined to protect you all. You start to argue with her. You've used a shotgun, and you know how to shoot. It should be you anyway. If something has happened to your father, you're the man of the family. You're responsible for everyone. And you should have gone to let the animals out, because your father is better able to protect the women than you are. Your mother refuses to give it to you, jerking it away as you reach for it, saying that she won't see you living with having to kill someone. As she pulls away, her hand is on the trigger, and your life is over with a roar and a flash of agony. I invite you, dear one, to realize that you aren't responsible for the whole world. You can't do everything, you can't protect everyone. And you it isn't a question of 'do or die' and you don't need to 'die trying'. Everyone is safe from a greater perspective, in that we will all be in the arms of God in the end. We can only do so much to protect our loved ones. Then we must accept the truth of life... we are limited beings and can only ask of ourselves what is ours to give. Interesting perspective. You truly have a beautiful gift. (OP) User ID: 17391665 United States 08/15/2012 09:55 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I would really like to know if any past lives. Some times I think so but not sure if just dreams. Quoting: grasptheuniverse Your last view of life is going to be a horse's flank slapping you in the face as the beast trots towards town. The bottom line is that you look like a guy who was a shitty person in this lifetime. That's enough to gain your captor the reward. He had no interest in your protestations, and as your blood runs down the flank of his horse, you know that he won't care about your pain, either. Your look-alike was wanted, dead or alive... and now you are the one to pay. You watch the horse's brown hair rise towards your face again, and you hate the unfairness of life. Your children are home with your wife, and none of them even know what happened to you. You've lived a good life. You've been a decent, god-fearing man. It's not right. It's just not right. And by god, you're not going down this way. You're not going down without a fight. Your kids don't deserve this. Your wife doesn't deserve this. The guy that shot you thinks you're dead. He hasn't even tied you up. He's a god-damned fool, god pardon your language. And god forgive you for what you're about to do, too... You reach up and grab his gun and shoot him before he even realizes that you're still alive. He falls from the snorting horse, staring up at you. "Why?" he asks. "I told you I wasn't the man you were looking for," you answer, pain running through your voice. "But you cared nothing for my family, only for that money. Well, I'll be damned if you're going to sentence my family to a lifetime without their father, while you enjoy the spoils of murdering an innocent man. I could forgive you for killing me, but I can't forgive you for what you've done to my family." He doesn't hear everything you've said, but you don't care. You die lying there on the back of that horse, unable to get yourself off or get onto him right. Your main regret is that you can't tell your family good-bye... but a secondary regret is that your family will suffer the loss and that bastard could only die once. If you could make him suffer like they did, you would. You'd take his family away and see how he liked it. If only you had the chance. It takes a special kind of person to understand how much losing a father can break the hearts of children. Shayla User ID: 12917055 United Kingdom 08/16/2012 04:32 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is the much requested thread in which I will accept requests for Readings. Quoting: Sandi_T That being said, this also comes with a caveat or five: 1. Be patient. If the other thread is any indication, there will be loads of requests. I CANNOT DO THEM AS FAST AS I GET THEM. It may be days, or even weeks. There are tons of requests and only one of me. I can only do a few a day as I have other obligations. 2. Be polite. This isn't an open thread. Be on topic or you will be banned from the thread. On topic or respectful chatting is welcomed. "OMG THIS IS FAKE" stuff is not. If that's your opinion, please express it all you want... somewhere else. It's a big forum. :p 3. Don't ask me a million questions across a bunch of various posts. Other people want my time, too; please keep that in mind. 4. I do them in order. If I skip you IN ORDER, then please say something. I don't ever skip anyone on purpose. But please say it nicely, don't whine about it. It wasn't on purpose and it wasn't to be mean. I'm a human bean and I make errors. It's not about you, it's because I'm a human bean and... yeah. Exactly. 5. Here's the life story that people mention here and there: [link to ritualabuseexposed.wordpress.com] Here is the other thread (hint: any requests given there will be ignored): Thread: What is the absolute strangest thing that you have ever seen that no one else could POSSIBLY beleive? Knock yourselves out... first come, first serve. I don't normally do this but as it's my birthday and you have a beautiful horse and seem like an interesting person then please tell me what you think? (If you can possibly email that would be great, I am likely to miss an answer here as I can't log in all the time) love and hugs Sx [email protected] |

(OP) User ID: 17391665 United States 08/16/2012 09:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | hello sandi, Quoting: bluepowder 19551619 i would be very grateful for a reading of my past lives, if you would be so kind. thank you very much in advance for your time and effort, and for the strength you put into this for all of us. please try not to strain yourself too hard, and be sure to take a break every now and then from what i imagine must be quite the sisyphean task Rain comes down in a sideways curtain, obscuring the world. The Studebaker trundles down the road, chugging in exasperation. You lie still in the back seat as water drips, drips, drips on your face. Running down your cheek and onto your shirt, where it's cold and brings misery with it. Closed into your mind, you can't speak to them. You can't tell them how you feel. But some part of you holds out hope. They won't really do it. Will they? Yet the Studebaker chugs slowly up the forlorn road towards the Asylum, the creaking gate closing behind it by a man in a raincoat as you watch out of the corner of your eye. Soon you're being dragged from the car by men with rough hands and irritated faces. A tear tracks with the rain down your cheek. You're here, and here you'll stay. Your mother sobs quietly, but doesn't protest as you're taken into the asylum. Your father stands grim and dark in the early twilight as the bloated clouds spew their load of water upon the already drenched Earth. They leave you there, with cold, cruel men and women who know that you can see and hear and understand... and who like it that way. Helpless, you survive for nearly twelve years... physically, at least. But your heart was broken the day they left you there on that rainy night. Your mind was broken by their machines, supposedly intended to cure you, but more realistically intended to bring you misery and pain. An unwilling test subject, forgotten by the world. Even when you die, they don't bother to notify your parents. They just drop your corpse into the pile to be burned the next day, weather permitting. You are loved. You are more valuable than you will ever imagine. You are a work of art, inside and out. There has never been anything more precious and beautiful than the human soul, and nothing more worthy than the soul that suffers out of pure love for all that is. You are never alone, no matter how you might feel. You are surrounded by the greatest love imaginable, and you are precious beyond words.
