Circular anomalies on the weather radar this morning... what the hell?

radar interference/resonance patterns...old thing, people wondered here about that a zillion times for years and years

I learned radar needs to be tuned for atmospheric conditions. Something like increasing or decreasing power to get the right feedback.

took a bit but i see them now.

They are moving from East to west just north of Florida starting from the east coast of Georgia and move west from there..

definitely kind of weird.

I'm sorry, but it's just what it is: radar anomaly. Not my fault you don't know and haven't seen this before. It's not uncommon, just do a search.

Its like ripples in water when it rains.. Like somthing is raining down on us.... So now its up to us to find the same thing in the archives to prove that it has happened before... i Have never seen it

looks like sudden releases of gas in areas.
are you able to look at google maps and see if there is anything directly under these "rings"? I would but I've got work to pretend to do.

Those rings are not landing up on radar sites.... so they are not GAIN adjustments of the radar.... HUH.... WTF

Also you can see a couple pop off in southern Ohio.

The one in NW Arkansas looks like a perfect circle as it starts out. That is strange.

Meteorologists will say it is "normal" nighttime refraction. This means instead of the radar beams pointing upward, it bends downward.
Here is an interesting point of view on that where it analyses nationwide "rings"

Yes but those were different, perfect circles with hard edges.

OPs look more organically shaped and look like real rain rings formed by rising thunderclouds raining out the edges.
