“If honey bees become extinct, human society will follow in four years.” Albert Einstein.

Whether true or not can you please give me a proper reference where Albert Einstein has said this?

I can't seem to find the original quote, and somehow I don't think he was very much inclined to make comments on issues he knew fairly little about.

If you can't give me a proper reference then do you really think it serves your agenda to misquote a famous scientist in italics and bold?

Wow. And out of all this thread, that's the only thing you give a shit about.

I don't really care what you think, since that's all you care about in the entire thread.

A corporation is destroying the food sources of the world, but all you care about is, "Can you PROOOOVE that Einstein said that?? WERE YOU THERE??"

And people wonder what's wrong with the world.

wall

No, sweetcheeks, I wasn't there when he said it. And I'm pretty sure that no one can prove he said ANYTHING, if they weren't there to see him say it or see him write it.

At the end of the day, what matters here is the egregious assault on the BASIC RIGHTS of the farmer, and the fact that Monsanto is using the US gov TO HIDE ITS ACTIONS.

But hey, if you want to obsess about a quote, you go right on ahead.

FAR more important in the grand scheme of things than someone getting his research stolen by a GOVERNMENT because he was proving that a CORPORATION was killing our pollenators.

If you had 2 brain cells left to rub together, you'd understand that WITHOUT POLLENATORS, plants don't reproduce.

I really doubt anyone but you cares if I was there to hear him say the quote or not. WE have more important problems with this event. But of course, anything you can do to take people's attention off of the REAL issues here, huh, shill?

As I said whether true or not....

My personal opinion is that the bee decline is troublesome (although I reckon the problem are pesticide use in general, not just round up and other monsanto monstrosities), but I can't see how you can argue something is to blame or not when you can't even fucking properly quote one of the most famous scientists in the world.

But considering your response I really can't conclude that you are just plainly incompetent and uninterested in the subject (otherwise you would not fabricate quotes, if you fabricate a quote who says you aren't fabricating everything else?).

I didn't fabricate the quote, you idiot. I took it from the website I DIRECTLY LINKED, if you had the wits to actually, you know, READ THE LINKS.

Which clearly you didn't, or you'd know that I had nothing to do with the quote, having taken it directly FROM THE LINK.

Idiot.

I suppose I "fabricated" the ARTICLE IN THE ORIGINAL POST that I LINKED and DIRECTLY QUOTED, too.

I swear, people never cease to amaze me.

GTFO.

It doesn't take Einstein to know that without bees, we're in even more trouble. Though moths, mason bees, and bumblebees can help with pollination of some fruits and vegetables, many depend on the honeybee.

There was a time we had "feral" honeybees. They are said to be nearly eliminated, if not entirely gone.

John T. Ambrose, an entomologist at North Carolina State University, estimates that 15 to 20 percent of a black bear's diet comes from honey, bees, and bee-pollinated fruits, nuts, and berries.

With the loss of that amount of their diet, will the bears range farther, or will they come into housing developments in search of food? There are far greater implications that "just" humans.

We don't need Einstein or anyone else to tell us that if one of the strands in the web of life is destroyed, it weakens the web. If enough strands are removed, it will collapse. Like the bees.

Here is a link from your country that you might like...or not. It's:

Shortage of bees threatens food production

It seems a bit strange that a Dutch bank should be concerned about honey bees. Director of the Rabobank Dirk Duijzer explains that his company always takes a keen interest in issues concerning food production. The bank, which started off as a bank for farmers, is seriously worried about the shortage of bees and the consequences for the agricultural and food sectors. The bank has joined forces with scientists, businesses and the government in an attempt to change the tide.

Re: Bee Farmer's Hives Stolen in Illegal Raid by the IDofAG for PROVING that Monsanto's Roundup Kills Bee Colonies!
Well, if you look at the seed banks they (meaning elite), they are probably doing this on purpose to get us to rely on them for food later on. Probably got bees stashed somewhere for their seeds.
I guess they might not understand that if one thing collapses in nature, that all else will fall if nature cannot fix that collapse.

Like the old Navajo warning that if you kill off the prairie dog there will be no one to cry for rain.

They studied this in Arizona as Bill Mollison states:

"Amused scientists, knowing that there was no conceivable relationship between prairie dogs and rain, recommended the extermination of all burrowing animals in some desert areas planted to rangelands in the 1950s....in order to protect the roots of the sparse desert grasses. Today the area (not far from Chilchinbito, Az) has become a virtual wasteland. Fierce runoff, soil compaction, and lack of fresh seedbed have carried the grasses away."

Burrowing animals like prairie dogs open breathing tubes in the Earth. The underground aquifers act like a diaphragm in human bodies, the moon as it passes raises and lowers the underground water table and the Earth breathes through the many fissures and tubes opened in by the burrowing creatures. The exhalation of moisture-laden air, filled with negative ions, helps create rain.

We all know trees are a major factor in rain making. Cutting trees in a major area results in one person's lifetime the creation of drought.

The interrelationships are congruent in to the ecosystem.
The separated parts, biosphere, atmosphere, lithosphere, and hydrosphere are not really divisions of the Earth but spheres of influence.

The real identity of the tree cannot be found in parts. It is expressions of the same thing in different forms. The tree doesn't end at its skin but exists also in the rain that falls downwind, many miles from the forest. In the seed exists the acorn, the oak, and the shade. The tree is also the fungi that live at its base, the bird that lives on its seed.

Recently, it's gotten scary in my area. I manage a Papa John's and we share a dumpster with a donut shop next door. Last year, ALL spring and summer that dumpster had no less than a few hundred bees in and around it all day long. This year, not a single one.

Something happened to that hive and no new bees have located this awesome source of sugar.

EDIT: The ironic part is, I seem to be the only one at my job that cares that they're missing ... and I'm the one allergic to them.

They no doubt have ways for them to survive. Massive greenhouses with bee hives that have never been tainted by their own products. With plants never tainted by their own labs.

Evil people always seem to find a way to thrive.

Why do you think they make their plants non reproductive?

To make more profit obsiously. Sure.

But also to ensure that these cyborg plants don't proliferate around the planet. In one year they could eradicate their own disgusting creation by doing absolutely nothing.

A farmer proves Monsanto's Roundup is killing bees and an illegal raid takes place on his farm.

This is major. Hardcore and clear evidence of the corruption that we on GLP know is there.
 Quoting: Sandi_T

But what's the motive. Here's my opinion.

The bees are needed for pollination and everybody knows that.

Monsanto's plants don't produce seed so agro-buis has to buy new seeds from them every year.

Conventional seed will reproduce but not without pollination.

They are monopolizing the market by the destruction of bees. I wonder if they accidentally came upon this chemical or if it was created with the intention of widespread, contrywide use in order to kill the bees. Interesting...

The quote surfaced in the 1990's.

It has been eroneously and widely spread that Einstein is the one who said it though it seems he did not.

But if you type in Einstein quotes and search through them often you will find this quote so it'e easy for people to be misled as to who made the quote with so much plagirizing on the internet.

Regardless of who said it, the quote retains merit and your argument against the credibility of the original story here is baseless shilling.

Fuck off ya gooseneck!!! amazed
