I want the bold truth, I want honesty. No lieing please.

Can you easily go a day without smoking tobacco and does it happen regularly. I';m not saying do you have the willpower to stop for 24 hours but i'm asking if you routinely go long periods without a cig? Can you smoke a cig in the morning and go about your day and then maybe smoke a cig when the sun goes down? Have you just suddenly realized that you havent bought a new pack in 4 days and you havent smoked one in 3 days? If you asked those same questions to me but replaced tobacco with marijuana or beer I would say yes I can routinely go long periods of time without either. But for me, I cannot just smoke a tobacco stick once every blue moon, flick it away and then turn my back on tobacco for a few days. When I am a tobacco fiend I am a tobacco fiend. I need one every hour and if I miss one then I start feeling the faintest amount of craziness which will compound into pure irritation if it goes over 4 hours.

Thats why I quit. Not because of what it does to my body but because the addiction becomes insane. I had never experience addiction until I started smoking. I can easily drink alcohol and stay in control and same with marijuana but I cannot keep control over tobacco.

Can you? Honestly? Do you routeinly go many many hours without even thinking about smoking?

I have had phases when dating different people that smoke and i smoked with them.

At one time smoked a pack a day then stopped when we broke up.

No cravings at all.

I thought I was just odd.

Yes. I do it all the time. Same with beer, alcohol, etc. Only thing I need every day is coffee.

sometimes I don't smoke for a few days. not really a conscious choice sometimes just need a break. Before I switched to organic american spirits I never took a break.

Like the poster above, I drink coffee 365 days a year heh.

Yes. I stop smoking every fall and throughout the winter and then pick back up again in Spring. And when I do smoke, I routinely go days at a time without one.

Yeah I smoked almost a pack a day for a couple of years but when I decided to stop I just cut out one per day for about twenty days..no problem. I think that smoking addiction has a genetic basis and some of us don't have those genes. Now I think the stuff smells worse than poop.

I have a cigarette with a friend of mine maybe once a month, two or three months sometimes, if it's a good cig i don't see the harm, but I don't regularly smoke.

I've smoked fairly regularly at different times in my life and never felt addicted. Didn't experience cravings except when high on MJ. Now I use snus when I smoke up.

Offroad Mint Minis are delicious.

Yup I can smoke and not get addicted. Tried to get hooked in college by chain smoking but I stopped at one pack.
I used to have one cigarette a year and that's it. No withdrawl no real high with tobacco either.

Re: post in this thread if you can smoke tobacco and not get addicted?
I started smoking at 16, and then at 26 decided that such activity was definitely not wise, and that i should begin exercising diligently, in addition. So, one day i just stopped. I don't recall any painful withdrawal symptoms, and never had any further craving.

Now is quite a few years later and i have not restarted the habit. But i have continued to exercise quite diligently, which, along with eating "properly" and doing a lot of "energy work" seems to have helped enormously in keeping me healthy and "reasonably happy" :)

Re: post in this thread if you can smoke tobacco and not get addicted?
The only natural tobacco one can find is not even the organic American Spirit stuff. They still acidify it in the processing.

Mapacho tobacco from the Amazon rainforest if you can find it, is better.

I haven't seen real organic tobacco anywhere. Even the Roll Your Own tobacco has been processed to become acidic.
