Notes from an "alternate universe": Meeting in the new Dream reality

Another good point. I don't know the answer, really. It seems if I interact with something, it brings it on.

I keep finding myself reverting back to old interactions before I remember. For example, housemate has tv on watching tornado threats. I watch to see where the threats are for about 30 minutes before I remember I'm interacting with that story line. Today, I went to the closet 3 times because of tornadoes touching down around me.

Yesterday, I posted loss of internet was the only apocalypse I'm allowing. So, last night at 9PM, I lost electrcity until 6PM today. No internet for almost 24 hours, heh!

So, I do "guard" my thoughts when I remember. Maybe if I were better at holding them loosely, I wouldn't experience the results like I do?

And, if strong reaction brings on the interaction, then it should work for those things we do want in our perspective. Anyone notice it working that way?

My husband and I did a test once. I used my mind to have a cop drive by the house. It took a month, but it happened. My husband and I were standing out in the front yard, at night, just enjoying a beautiful spring evening. The next thing we know, a cop drives by, goes to the end of the street and turns around and drives back by. Even the cop seemed like he didn't know why he was there. Anyway, we both were shocked, lol! (I live in a gated community so we don't have much traffic and very rarely, cops.

How do you make an undesirable thought irrelevant?

I'm a little better at not interacting with a symbol of something undesirable but when it comes to thoughts, so far, I just stop them by switching my focus. I don't really understand how to make them irrelevant.

I love this story. OK, then I'm good. I thought there might be some kind of technique, considering how well truth has been made irrelevant.

Had a dream about the great and powerful Chaol during my nap,

Stuff happened before this but can't really remember.


So Chaol said he wanted to give us some proof or make a better connection or something like that so he wanted to talk on the phone with someone. Naturally at first I was excited but then thought someone else could go ahead and do it. I like to be low-key ;)

The next thing I knew I was at a carnival fair, and everyone from forum was there with me. Chaol being the baller that he is some how talked straight into my/our heads (though didn't seem unusual at the time). He said that he said he told us he wanted only one person but then made a sly joke (maybe hinting he had intended it this way) about how he had hidden something in the park for us and what would be the most efficient use of energy trying to find it. (suggesting more people could find it with less effort)

So we all split up to find it, then Chaol gave a hint about dolphins. And I was at a carrousel with dolphin adornments so I looked around and found it right as someone else did as well. It was a little lit up light switch that had no business being where it was at. I was gonna flip it but let the other person do it.

As soon as it was flicked a fraction of a second later a bull came running out from some room and narrow missed the other person and I had to jump over it. But no sooner after I landed a tiger came out of nowhere and started attacking only me. I somehow got a wooden board between us and he was swatting at me and trying to push past the board. Though I do remember thinking in my dream that it was rather "observerie" I noted to myself that while it was startling I didn't feel any fear.

Then I woke up

Interesting dream. But I think the "winner" (if there was one) would be the person who stayed in place, knowing that the reference to dolphins was a reference to our own brains (as many similarities are shared) and that which uses the least amount of energy is not to run around the park but to stay put, not distracted by the many features of the park.

In this scenario (I don't know how it is in your dream), the park would only be a distraction for the "dolphin" clue.

So you found a dolphin in your dramatization of reality (in the carousel) but you missed the one in your mind.

The way to make a thought irrelevant is to look past it...to look beyond it.

Really intense dreams as of late, so hard to distinguish between the nights experience and an actual waking memory.

I had the longest, most extreme, alternate dream reality last night.
The dream started In my childhood neighborhood. I was walking on the street in front of my old house. At first I was I shocked to what I was doing there, seeing its 1000 km from where I am right now. I immediately became aware I was dreaming. Instead of taking a run down the street and launching my self into the atmosphere, which I usually do. I decided to wonder around the neighborhood. Everything, to the trees, the houses, to the street was to the highest detail. very tangible, very real. I was dumbfounded. Knowing I was asleep, this great detail. I am not going to lie, usually when I realize I'm dreaming, and knowing I will not be held accountable for any action, I sometimes become a deviant. However in the deviant phase, the dreams never last long. So being aware I decided to take a tour. I walked around, my old town was exactly the same. I decided I haven't had Ice cream for a while, I would go to the Dari Bar as its called and get an ice cream cone. When I jumped over a few house's avoiding the dream ending launch. I finally got there. I was the first one there. As I was deciding what to get, people I have never met before started to line up behind me, I didn't care I just wanted my ice cream. some then stood beside me, then they inched in front of me. I got a bit upset and told them to go to the back of the line. I was here first, I thought what nerve. when I looked behind me, there must of been over fifty people. I got my ice cream and left. After walking I finished eating my ice cream which I didn't pay for it. I was thinking this is awesome, everything is still here, I didn't wake up. I decided to explore some more. I walked backed to my old neighborhood which is on the edge of town. I got to the last street and jumped over the house. I was expecting to land on the golf course on the other side. but when I got over, it wasn't there. There was another street with houses. I thought how odd, where is the golf course. Where did all these new houses come from? what street is this? I kept walking, I found myself in a new community, and went inside a building. It turned out to be a bar with people in it. I said hi to some as I made my way to the bar. When I got to the barista a women asked me what I wanted, I asked what the special was. She said steak sandwich. I said yeah I'll have that. she said it will be a while. Being in this new place, I decided to explore it. People inside were normal, and seemed to be having a good time. I got lost in the building but then found my way back to the barista. there my little steak sandwich was there along with a coke. some other patron had took one of my French fries. I jokingly warned with him not to do that. The women said it be $7.50. I didn't think much of it and grabbed my wallet. Inside my wallet I had four five dollar bills. I gave her two of them and told her to keep the change. I sat down and ate my little steak sandwich. Thinking this is weird, I can smell and taste this steak sandwich. I finished and walked outside. On the way out I recognized a friend and said "hey tanner". he looked like he didn't recognize me. I didn't care to talk to him and carried on my way out. When I got outside, I jumped over a few other buildings and landed in a park. in the middle of this park was a very narrow creek, I mean maybe a foot wide. about fifty feet away I seen a man walking with a child. I could see many buildings surround the park. I did not know where I was At this point. All I knew that I was still here dreaming. I walked up to some strangers and decided to talk to them, they hastely walked away. I kept walking, I left the park and walked into this New community. there I seen 3 women walking. I asked them what they are doing. They said they were going to work. I asked them if I could follow them. They said no worries. So I followed them, for a very long time. walking through buildings and streets. as I walked behind them I took notice of my surroundings. I kept wondering where I am. I notice a Sky line of a city. I recognized only one tower of the sky line from being from my current city. The rest of the skyscrapers I have never seen before. I turned around and noticed another city center, with other towers. I thought how strange, what city on earth has two city centers? I kept walking with these women. They walked into the washroom and I followed them. It was a ladies washroom, but it didn't seem to be a problem. I just stood by the entrance and waited. The next thing, two males storm in and looked agitated. I told them to get lost, this is a female bathroom. which is weird because I am a male. things were about to get confrontation when two other men walked into the bathroom. they seemed to be on my side and apprehended the first two on the bathroom counter. There I was given a piece of paper, which look like rules of this new city. In the dream I remembered reading them, however now I can not remember the exact detail of them, only that one mentioned alcohol. I realized that even though I was at the bar earlier, I did not consume any alcohol, and it appeared that I never broke any of the other rules on the list, so I left the bath room and found my self in yet another building. The building was huge had many tables and benches, everything was well lit and again lots of detail. I took a semi spiral staircase going up. on the side of each step was an old computer key board. each keyboard was different then the other. It was very decorative, I was amazed at the detail of them and beyond amazed that I was still there. The second level looked like a mall foodcourt, I say that because it was big and had court styled tables and chairs everywhere. there were a lot of people there. I didn't recognize any of them. some people were sitting and talking with each other, while other people were candidly walking around. everyone looked young, about 20 - 30 years old. I walk to a part of the complex, where I see some girls watching a screen and betting on horses. They paid little attention to me, so I walked back to where the table and chairs were, I seen a man walk over to the wall and put a cd without a case back on this ledge that contained about 200 other cds without a case. however these cds where half the size. I sat down at one of the tables, In the distance I could hear music, I didn't know by who though, I looked around and took a 360 degree turn. I noticed everything was well lit. however there was no windows or light bulbs. I thought to myself, this has never happened before, I onder what time it is, I looked at my watch and it said 17:52. doing the conversion from 24 hour to 12 hour, I realized it is 5:52 , I sat there in amazement, so detailed and so real. all of a sudden I felt the phone on my belt starting to vibrate, I felt despair thinking that I was going to wake up if I answered it, so I hit ignore. I didn't wake up I thought, I am still here. so I just sat there, watching everyone else. I looked at my watch again, it was a different time this time. I cant remember what It said now. but I remember thinking wow Ive been here for a long time and everything is still very tangible, everything is so real. I decided to stand up out of my chair, and that's when I woke up.

when I woke up, I analyzed everything about it, so much as to I came here to document it, so that the memory of that whole night be preserved forever.

This all happened last night. This was my longest alternate reality experience that I have ever had. I came here to relate to other people with this experience and share my story.

The only difference it seems between this reality and the other reality, was me jumping over entire buildings. other then that everything else seemed no different then what is called real. I noticed that there was no light source, no lamp or no sun, yet everything was well lit. Only one person out of over a thousand that I seen, I recognized but he did not recognize me.

There seems to be rules to this place, as there are rules in this place.

I am not sure however which place is the definition of real. they seemed equally real. even though I jumped over buildings in the "alternate" place, I feel that this place came from that place. That this place has been designed with more universal rules, and is an extension of that other place.

I am not trying to place any belief that originated in this world to explain the other world. Instead I am trying to figure out direct relationship between the two worlds compared to the whole.

Is the whole, really everything? and reality just another slice of the whole.

Isn't reality nothing more then a define set of rules?
In the beginning is it not possible for reality to have no rules, and since there is no end, there is a possibility of infinite realities? each reality based on the previous, but with more rules?

Is this not the reality which has been refined into a reality desired by many, yet abused by a few?

In reality, are there not those who can break the rules, and supposedly jump over buildings? I mean that from a figurate point of view.

If the next reality is just an extension of this reality, just like this reality is an extention of the last reality, is it not reasonable that someone inside reality be subjected to all realities leading up to the next?

I would like to add that I have had previous encounters with this alternate reality. sometimes they form subtle indications. in which the indications of the dream, would unfold the next waking day.
I am very puzzled by this phenomena, it seems to contradict the law of time. How something can be indicated to extreme detail the night before it actually happens?
All I know from previous experience is that alternate realities do not play by the same clock. It seems that the one alternate reality is not before or after this reality. that it must "parallel", yet not that an hour in one, is equal to an hour of the other. It seems that they are related, yet they are not.

however, it seems that the more we experience from reality the more we learn about reality. I really laugh at people who say "the real world", for they don't understand the concept of reality. They define real as being constant and forever, thus making it "real". however this reality is only temporary. they know this, I know this, we all know this. We have a certain amount of time here. regardless to what their aspirations in this world are, they will unwillingly have to let it go. It is almost like this world is a test reality. being an introduction to an everlasting one. like all tests, not everything goes the way it is intented. however like all tests, there is always the intention to correct what is flawed. everyone gets to sample this reality. I don't think everyone wants it though. some people don't belong here, other people do. I don't think people will be subjected to a reality they do not want or they do not fit into. I think there is a reality for everyone. I also think that like minded people, will share the same reality. I think this reality is a crossroad to many other realities.
I really think that the architect of the the universe is a machine. I really think this machine lasts forever. By no means do I think this machine is limited or unconscious of what is going on inside of it. This machine many call God. However logic suggests God is an Intelligent machine. What this machine is made up of may never be known. however we are made up of carbon, and we are machines ourselves. We tend to think of machines being a product of us, yet we never consider ourselves to be a product of machines. maybe long time ago, some mutant created a machine that became God. this is most logical. Then the machine recreated the mutant. even more logical.

like the thread title states: "meeting in the new dream reality". Is this not exactly what is happening right now?

Hi. I want you to know that I much enjoyed reading your dream experience.

I am amused at how you knew you were dreaming! I agree with you, that you were lucid for a very long while.

As I was reading, I kept thinking that the reality that we know seemed to flow from out of the dream reality that you encountered. Then, you said the same thing; that they are somehow connected.

I also read your further interpretations of reality and such. Your mention of some primal ruler as being a machine reminds me of what this fellow posted:

Not saying that I agree with any ideas that the universe is run by a programmer and/or a machine, but I DO appreciate the concepts that you all come up with when imagining in that direction.

I enjoyed reading your dream and thoughts about what is. I still think we create the realities so of course, they are connected. It's the "rules" part that has me stumped, no matter which reality one talks about. It does seem there are "rules."

Chaol says we will get to the point where we don't know if we are "awake" or "dreaming."

It could be said that everything is a delusion, since we are unable to see reality as it really is.

So, instead, we work with things that are "good enough" until we come up with more appropriate illusions.

What is the delusion of a hard-working, perhaps "single", father who's quite concerned for his daughter at school and in life? What is the daughter's delusion, and how could the father better relate his own delusions with them?

Will we be setting up other parameters besides a sound or symbol?

Some are so much worse than others.
