I just applied the same distance (latitude wise) from Sendai to Redondo Beach and did that from the point where Ohara is straight across from... Now you are reading my brain. It is well known the waves from Japan land just north of Santa Cruz, and cause the huge waves at Mavericks, which is in half moon bay. If we call this area the neutral point, then we plot how far south Redondo beach is from half moon bay, then add this number to the north side of the neutral point (opposite and equal), we land somewhere around Mendicino, the southern tip of the Juan de Fuca. I have felt in my gut for years, and have had many posts that this is where the big one will be. |

One thing they saw was volcanic activity, recent activity, that has not happened for a thousand years. |
