Anyone picked up on the nephalem in Diablo 3?

Angels and demons went rouge and created a world outside of heaven and hell they called is "Sanctuary" here the angels and demons fell in love and created Nephalem, which possess the power of both realms “Good and Evil” but they also had something that the angels and demons did not have which frightened them. Since they had this power the rouge angel and demons manipulated the world stone to weaken and change the memory of the Nephalem to hide their true power…now they are awakening.

Anyone beat it yet? if so what difficulty are you on?

Inferno act 2 and it got really hard really quick.

The sanctuary/nephalem story is interesting, there's the whole azryael fallen angel to hero to back in heaven running shit. Demons impersonating emperors and killing the populace.

I noticed that too didn't pay attention to it much other than when people talk about the nephalem to. todays kids they'll just associate it with diablo. I'm on inferno halfway. Its ridiculous.

Ya... I caught that too and laughed.

Up to Inferno and solo'd my way up. Now just farming cash/gear for nicer gear in Hell for Inferno. It gets super crazy on the elites. The only mobs that have given me trouble. At 60 every elite you kill you get a 20% magic/gold find buff that stacks 5 times for 30 minutes and resets to 30 min after each elite or elite pack killed.

They also completely changed the story. Old school Diablo players will know this.

I have to admit though. Interesting switch. Instead of going into the depths of hell to kill the devil. You climb your way to Heaven to kick him out.

Yea i liked that too about the game.

And the angels just rolled right over pathetically when he came to "knock" on heaven's door (with Imperious' back, of course). Every time my character "spoke" with one of the archangels, I was rather appalled. If it would have actually been me in Heaven, I would have punched the angels' square in their faces.

The story, though, is odd and an interesting twist on the idea of nephilim. Then again, after playing Assassin's Creed et al, I'm pretty sure that the writers for game development are pretty heavy into conspiracy.

Still on Nightmare but that's because I'm one of the sad lots that always gets the Error 037 when I get a chance to play. Well that and I made a second character (both are in nightmare).

Pay attention to the tomes Leah reads in the cutscenes. Interesting stuff.
