High School Freshman Wins Award For Developing Test To Detect Pancreatic Cancer, Ovarian Cancer and Lung Cancer!
He is only a freshman at North County High School in Anne Arundel County.

However, 15-year-old Jack Andraka is being recognized for developing what may become an effective way to detect pancreatic cancer.

"I've created a paper sensor and it can detect pancreatic cancer, ovarian cancer and lung cancer," Andraka told WBAL News.

"Basically it costs 3-cents and takes about five minutes to run, so ti can be used in routine screenings, and I found that it could detect the cancer before it became invasive, and your chance of survival is much greater before it becomes invasive."

Sure, blame it on the HS student. I do not trust their cancer tests or treatments. As if they have a cure anyway.

This will fly exactly because it creates new demand for cancer drugs.

Yep; by the time ADVENTRX is done with it, the cost will have risen from 3 cents per test to $500 per test...

I'm glad the kid mentioned how cheap it was. ha ha I can just see the medical equipment companies in a rage. "Oh, no, no, it will cost much, much, more than that! Oh, yes. And the proceedure will be very expensive."

Will just be used to justify throwing people to the cancer wolves sooner.

The so called cancer treatments will kill you within 5 years. By the time you figure this out it is to late.

As soon as someone tells you the cure to cancer you will jump all over them as a conspiracy theorist.

It's kinda like finding the cure to stomach ulcers was not greeted with happiness by the medical mafia.

But also- if a 15 year old figured this out... I dunno... makes you wonder.... Are they really trying to find ways to detect cancer early?

Thank god ONE out of TWO FUCKING HUNDRED scientists he asked let this boy test the strips in his lab.

My grandfather died of pancreatic cancer. It was fucking awful. It's a terrible form of cancer.
