Weird experience this morning

Woke up this morning to my usual cell phone alarm. I picked my phone up to turn off the alarm,(I was already awake in bed, just didn't want to get up), but I had to shut my eyes as the phone light appeared brighter than normal. It was when I shut my eyes, that it was weird.
Now I know we all see after images of lights, but this was really different. I didn't see an image of the light. I saw a whole trail of images, sort of superimposed one on the other, from the time I picked the phone up, until the time I shut my eyes. It sort of looked like this shape:

But the long line was on more of an angle like this top line < Actually think of that shape with a long tail at the top.

It looked like a long line with the smaller line off of the bottom of it, but it was also like a freeze of each frame of single movement that made up the whole.

So hard to explain.

Oh I know. Do you all remember those IE days when sometimes there would be a malfunction on the machine and when you moved your mouse, you would get fourty or fifty images following the movement of the mouse?

That was what it looked like.

It was truely bizarre. Never experienced anything like that before.
