Nine-year old boy hits would-be abductor over head with skateboard (NSW, Australia)

A nine-year-old boy hit a man over the head with his skateboard after he tried to snatch him as he walked along a street with his sister in the state's north.

Police said the boy and his 12-year-old sibling were walking along Ryan Street in South Grafton at about 6pm yesterday when a vehicle stopped beside them.

The male driver tried to grab the nine-year-old but the quick-thinking youngster hit the him over the head with his skateboard before running to a nearby service station with his sister.
