Quoting: Resister I don't championing everything the Republican Party does, but it was the Republican Party that passed the civil rights laws in the 70s that the majority of Democrats opposed. It was a Republican President who appointed one of the best constitutional scholars of our time in Clarence Thomas to the Supreme court in the 90’s. It was a Republican President who appointed the very well respected Condoleezza Rice to Secretary of State in the 2000’s. Representative Alan West of Florida is a Tea Party type politician through and through who is someone many Tea Partiers would like to see as a VP pick, and in case you hadn’t noticed, last fall Herman Cain was one of the top Republican presidential primary candidates. The Republican party in general is a lot of things, but racist it is not. Living in the Past is not going to make things right. Herman Cain is a Republican/Tea Party hack and uppity one at that. But nothing like a Vagina to quell that loser's hope. Today the Republican Party does not exist, it was taken over by the Tea Party and they are as filthy as the crap they spew. Afterall, if you gonna play with shit eventually you will start smelling like it. The past? Allan West is a US Representative right now.
