this is interesting. i believe that one can control the subconscious mind through controlling our dreams. that sounds insane, i know. but i believe it.

Everyone who disagrees with you is a Moran on GLP didn't you get the memo? That insult just isn't very effective anymore. Anyway, I think it says a lot that most of the spiritual philosophy in practice these days, was created by men. It shows that while we may not have some of the intuitive benefits of the female mind, we have an enormous, and fairly socially hidden connection with our serotoergic minds aka spiritual centers. Does that mean women are not capable of this connection? Not at all. What it does point to, and I do want to emphasize that, because I don't believe this proven, just my thoughts and feelings, is that men are more spiritually aware than women, at least in certain respects.

I do think that women surpass men in areas of intuition and other areas of the vast array of complexities hidden within the spiritual centers of the mind, both of which are extremely important, and invaluable to the functioning of the universe. We are both equally amazing machines; man and woman. Both, equally important. We are all one.

Thank you for the post. Personally, I believe that the "spiritual centers of the mind" are not the mind, but the "spiritual centers of the heart". The heart provides us an interface with our inner spiritual self and the mind provides us an interface with this physical world.

I could never get into the whole soul thing, at least in the stereotypical sense. However, I feel the truth may be somewhere in the middle on this one!

You are on a good path, keep on it. There is something about you that reminds me of myself, and that worries me! Lol

You can just try to let the voice shut up by humming or listening to your own breathing. It is called meditation.
Sometimes it is good to take some distance from something for a whole so you can get a different perspective. You can take that to an extreme and see everything in perspective and never just judge and spit out words without a pause. Don't know if that is good. But for sure many people in the world should do it a bit more.

That is how we should view all new information. Don't believe anything I say as truth! Listen to what you are told. Find some quiet time alone and see what your heart tells you about this idea. If it feels right, keep it close to you. If it feels wrong, toss it aside and move on.

That is the only truth that you will ever find in this life.

If anything that I have said feels right in your heart, start searching.

Why do you have reservations about Tolle? Just curious, I am reading The power of Now currently. I find it very good so far.

Tough to live with no ego in todays ego driven world. It seems like the ego is being reved up even more everyday and we are floating further and further from the real truth of conscience.

There was nothing that I read in his two books, The Power of Now and A New Earth that I disagree with. I can honestly say that he changed my life.

I just don't like that many are trying to turn him into a guru. He does these conferences with thousands sitting as if they are in the audience of a God. He then has the bell at the beginning thing.

Anyway, his books are spot on! He is telling real truth. Just take his message and don't worship the author...

His books, especially A New Earth will change you. At least I hope it does.

The Power of Now was his first book. The views he has in A New Earth are exactly the same message. He just seems to have refined his understanding of the information and presented it in a more eloquent way.

So, to answer your question, both books are saying the same message and don't contradict one another, but A New Earth is very well written and more of a "how to" book instead of mostly questions and answers from his conferences.

Yes, it is tough. As I hinted to in one post earlier, we are being bombarded right now we hate, fear and anger from an evil group that I will only refer to as our adversaries. They are "hacking" or introducing thoughts into our minds that cause us to be afraid and to see the world as a dangerous and scary place. The bombardment comes from TV, music, cell phones and even from radio frequencies from all around us.

It is being increased at an enormous rate now. That is because people are beginning to awaken and they feel it has to be stopped at all cost. It scares them to death...

I know, I know. This is a big jump for many to grasp.

As always, just listen to your heart and decide for yourself...

A little simplistic, but true. It is about choice. The mind/ego is only concerned with me/mine/greed/wants. So we can follow the loving guidance of the heart or ignore it and "want".

The heart also provides loving "nudges" at times if we can quiet the mind for just a little while and listen. Most of the time we don't and are led astray.

Whenever I stopped the mind's constant noise and listen to the subtle message of my heart, it never leads me astray. If I get afraid, angry or greedy and listen to my mind/ego, it always bites me in the ass! Never fails...

like plants grow toward light, . .
