'I'll be in Lahore tomorrow if you want me': Pakistani extremist taunts US officials after they slap a $10m bounty on his head

One of Pakistan's most notorious extremists brazenly taunted the United States to the world's media after Washington officials slapped a $10million bounty on his head.

Hafiz Mohammad Saeed, 61, told the White House it should give the reward money to him, claiming he had made no secret of his whereabouts in recent months.

Speaking to a news conference near to Pakistan's military headquarters, he told journalists, he boasted: 'I am here, I am visible. America should give that reward money to me.

'I will be in Lahore tomorrow. America can contact me whenever it wants to.'

Saeed has been accused of orchestrating the 2008 attacks in the Indian city of Mumbai that killed 166 people, including six American citizens.

But he operates openly in Pakistan, giving public speeches and appearing on TV talk shows.
