When will the housing bubble reinflate or stabilize.
I'm in a unique position. I sold my house. I live in an area where many high end houses are for sale and are sitting waiting to be sold. There are deals to be had. Yet I worry these homes are going to keep siting there and resale is not on the horizon.

It's really all about timing. Do I stay out of the game? Do I grab a deal now? Do I rent as I am doing now and wait?

What advice is out there?

I don't know about that. I think political parties has nothing to do with it.

Peoples homes are not a game you sick evil selfish fuck.
The more people play around with residential property as an investment vehicle which it was never intended to be.
The more they simply guarantee their own future destruction along with everyone else.

Housing is not expected to recover until after 2015 and perhaps even later. Of course we may be living in a completely different country by then, it will either be a complete fascist dictatorship or a post revolutionary society with people still trying to pick up the pieces. You have to decide for yourself whether it is better to remain mobile or plant your feet in the ground. Remember when you buy a house you give the TPTB lots of leverage to control your life and hold you hostage with their bullshit.

I'm talking about buying a house as a primary residence to live most of my life in granted my job hold out.

Making this kind of investment I want to be sure.

I'm no real estate swinger. Wish i had that kind of money to even think of it.

US real estate is suppose to collapse another 25% at least. It is never going back up as industry is never coming back. The unemployment rate and pay scale are directly related to home prices.

Interest rates are so low right now (2.95% in at least my area) that it would be a good idea to buy, coupled with the lower valuation on homes, it would be worth your while to do it now, rather than wait until the market comes back.

After all, you stated that you sold your home so you do not have that over your head.

Good luck!

Also---I would stay out of the high end. Too many people trying to unload. Look for something reasonable.

To answer your original question OP: When the 45 million people on food stamps get jobs that pay enough to allow them to save for a house.

The US middle class is dead and so is housing until they are back in careers.

I feel bad for those who don't understand basic supply and demand.
