I live in an area where many high end houses are for sale and are sitting waiting to be sold. There are deals to be had. Yet I worry these homes are going to keep siting there and resale is not on the horizon. Quoting: John Goz It's really all about timing. Do I stay out of the game? Do I grab a deal now? Do I rent as I am doing now and wait? What advice is out there? Are things ever coming back? it'll change once, democratic are thrown out of office...give 2-3 years...it took a while after carter screwed with everything... |

The more people play around with residential property as an investment vehicle which it was never intended to be. The more they simply guarantee their own future destruction along with everyone else. |

Of course we may be living in a completely different country by then, it will either be a complete fascist dictatorship or a post revolutionary society with people still trying to pick up the pieces. You have to decide for yourself whether it is better to remain mobile or plant your feet in the ground. Remember when you buy a house you give the TPTB lots of leverage to control your life and hold you hostage with their bullshit. |

After all, you stated that you sold your home so you do not have that over your head. Good luck! |

The US middle class is dead and so is housing until they are back in careers. I feel bad for those who don't understand basic supply and demand. |
