He never writes happy birthday on my facebook and I don't have a fucking problem with it. He could've just asked me how come I didn't wish him happy birthday like a normal mature adult then I would've said something like "Sorry I totally forgot it was your birthday." Just because it's your birthday it doesn't mean everything has to revolve around you. Every year I always acknowledge his birthday but when my birthday comes he never returns the favor to wish mine. It's him that's not being a good friend, good friends would always return the favor. Also they wouldn't get angry and go hostile just because their friends didn't say happy birthday. They would either get over it or confront them without hostility.
