Before the WWW

For those of you who can remember before the World Wide Web,how much more information do you have access to to make an informed idea on the condition of the world?

There was no internet we had to rely on MSM and that in todays time is scary,but really before you got the access to the internet how was your awareness level at that time?

I look back and really just remember the newspaper and the prime time news how did we make it?
