Shooting a human being for no reason is murder.

Murder is a death penalty offense in the state of Florida.

A capital murder conviction would make any "hate crime" charge moot.

This guy called the police to report a suspicious kid walking down the block, the police told him to stay in his home

but he pursued the kid anyway with a loaded gun (after the police told him to stay away from the kid because they were on their way)

a witness tape played on the news today, a woman called 911 reporting the altercation between the kid and the man and you could hear the kid screaming for help in the background before a single shot was fired.. the one that killed him

the really weird thing is that the police chief said the shooter had a 'sqeauky clean' record and wasn't detained for questioning or anything after shooting and killing a person

usually if someone shoots and kills someone they're taken in for questioning, arrested etc etc but nothing happened at all.. the police just said 'this guy said he didn't do anything wrong so we won't investigate' the end. no investigation, nothing at all

it turns out the man has committed battery assault on an officer in the past but once again the charges were all mysteriously dropped and he never got in trouble for it


it just seems really really strange.. like maybe the guy has connections to be let off the hook?

It most likely could of been avoided.

Do I think Treyvon attacked Zimmerman? Probably based on the cuts and lacerations on Zimmerman's head along with the bruising.

Do I think Zimmerman could of stayed away until police arrived? Yes, he could of followed at a safe distance at least.

If an unarmed WHITE kid was walking down the street minding his own business, and a WHITE guy walked up and shot him to death for no apparent reason, and the police refused to do anything about it, would you see a problem with that?

The 17 year old thug attacked Zimmerman, his face was bloody and the back of his head proved that it been been beaten against either the ground or concrete. Zimmerman was defending himself when he blew Martin away.

Witness in teen shooting speaks out

One of the witnesses to the shooting also spoke to the media on Friday. Mary Cutcher says she was there the night of the shooting and does not believe Zimmerman was acting in self-defense.

“We were in the kitchen. I heard the crying. It was a little boy. As soon as the gun went off the crying stopped therefore it tells me it was not Zimmerman crying," she said. "Immediately, we went out the sliding glass door and see Zimmerman over the body with his hands on the body.“

Cutcher said she first thought Zimmerman was applying CPR and putting pressure on Martin's wounds. "Until later, when we realized he came off the body. We realized the boy was face down, his face was in the grass and his body was not in an upright position. He was shot in the chest and he was face down; therefore, he was not helping the kid.”

Earlier this week, the Sanford Police Department turned the investigation over to the State Attorney's Office which, in turn, has asked the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to review evidence in the shooting.

The shooting occurred IN THE STREET. Not in Zimmerman's home.

Zimmerman was not attacked.

Zimmerman followed the kid down the street and then shot him for no apparent reason. This wasn't "self defense" and no witness has come forward to say it was.

THIS WAS A MURDER.

If the dead kid was Jewish, and the shooter was black, would you be defending the killer?

Try to imagine the howling that be going on right now if the victim was Jewish, and the shooter was black.

Yes I would defend the one who protected him or herself---the race of the criminal is irrelevant. Self-defense is not prejudice. We all have the right to defend ourselves and "Caste Doctrine" or "Stand Your Ground Laws" are very important, and it seems that those who want to repeal them are trying to make excuses for the criminals.

These laws give citizens the right to defend themselves from threats and not rely on law enforcement officers; keep in mind that the police have no duty to protect any one citizen.

My guess is Zimmerman confronted the kid, 1st mistake, Zimmerman tried acting like a cop, second mistake, kid told him to fuck off, Zimmerman prob grabbed him to stop him from finishing his bag of skittles, a scuffle followed, kid punched Zimmerman who inherited his fighting skills from the tribe side of his family, and zimmerman shot him, not before be said "Taste the rainbow"
