I'd like to go quietly in my sleep, like grandpa did. Not screaming in terror like the people in the back seat of the car he was driving. |

Janeway was a joke and Enterprize should have been a lot better then it was. patric stewart for the win, THERE ARE FOUR LIGHTS! Full credit goes to the first show, with out them there is no show. How many lights do you see... Last Edited by Chrit on 03/01/2012 01:34 AM I'm only human, it's my biggest flaw. Was the one written by Jonathan Franks (Riker) where he is in the mental institution switching between realities and the weird alien was staring at him from a distance. [link to www.startrek.com] Frame of mind was the episode. No special effects, just great acting. Last Edited by Proskiracer on 03/01/2012 01:57 AM THINK ABOUT THIS! The universe created life to be observed, without an observer, it never existed. So it is a mathematical proof that the universe created life. |

You will learn a lot then come back and vote. Quoting: redhed6971 Ha! Grew up on it. It was entertaining in it's day because it was the original, but watching it today, it's just so corny. I know special effects were nothing great back then but dang, you can't help but laugh watching it today. The Next Generation is the best, imo. |

Deep space Nine imo is the worst, THG is probably the best but I voted for enterprise because it will no doubt be underrepresented. Mostly because people couldn't get past the "it's been a long road...." theme song... it activated their dormate gayness and it scared them. So they couldn't watch it. |

User ID: 844726 United States 03/01/2012 04:00 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Next Gen. really doesn't hold up well at all. I watch it now and it's often painful. In some ways it feels even more dated than TOS, TOS at least has the huge camp factor going for it now. Never much cared for DS9 or Enterprise, though the two-part Enterprise storyline set in the parallel universe with the evil human empire was pretty classic. "Voyager" got really good maybe a year after Seven of Nine joined the cast. Pretty quickly, Jeri Ryan turned into a VERY good actress... and it didn't hurt that she was probably the hottest woman on TV at the time and they put her in those super-tight outfits. I think she and Robert Picardo as the doctor hologram made a great duo on the show. They created a great relationship between them. My favorite was when Seven of Nine has the Doctor's psyche implanted in her brain, so it was Jeri Ryan doing a great job of acting like Robert Picardo's doctor trying to pretend to be Seven of Nine. That's some great acting. The show also got really interesting and dark around that same time, with things like the "Year in Hell" episodes. My favorite sci-fi series are "BSG," "Firefly" and I would have to say "The Twilight Zone" (both the original and the later reboot were great) and the reboot of "The Outer Limits" from the 80's and 90's. "Sarah Connor Chronicles" kept going from strength to strength and went from being a decent show 1st season to excellent in the second. I was also a big fan of "Dollhouse," though pretty much everything Joss Whedon has done has been at least good, if not great. My least favorite has been "Angel," but even that had some truly classic episodes, though not sci-fi. Her lips were red, her looks were free, Her locks were yellow as gold: Her skin was as white as leprosy, The Night-Mare LIFE-IN-DEATH was she, Who thicks man's blood with cold. - Samuel Taylor Coleridge, "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" |

In order of favorites, TNG, Voyager, Enterprise, the original series and if I must...DS9 (hated that series, I think my husband did too, though he'd never admit to it. He's too loyal a trekki for that lol) Btw...LOVED the opening theme song for Enterprise. At first I was like wth??? But then it quickly grew on me. So much so that I always begged my husband to let the theme song play each time we watched Enterprise lol. He would grudgingly give in most times. :D |

Original Series was miles ahead of anything that followed. It all just became too PC afterwards. Remembering quote from Spock: "If it bleeds then it can be killed!" The pilot episode with captain Pike is fantastic... not to mention the episode written by Harlan Elison with Joan Collins starring... truly epic. Nothing the newer series could do ever came close! |
