Well, I'm her to tell you Mr Coppel, you couldn't be more wrong. This death for any horse is prolonged,painful and excruciating. And, slaughter is not just for the old and tired animals but also for the young, fat and healthy foals. These babies are forced to watch as their dams and other family members, are hung on hooks and skinned alive. Their cries can be heard all over town and the smell of their blood insinuates itself through closed windows, doors, homes and churches. Sue Wallis, champion horse hater, will attest that slaughter is humane. Even in the most rigid of plants, this grisly horror is never humane. God help America, our horses and any town that has this business come to pass. I suggest you ask the children who will be subjected to the process daily and could suffer mental anguish as a result..
