Quoting: the fisherman 11008239 There ya go. But things seem to be moving more quickly nowadays. Constantinople was dumped and the US pumped. Now we're getting the boot and the next stop looks like an operation with two fronts, China and India. Or maybe two are being set up so there will be a backup if something goes wrong. |

There was a stall at my local 'mart' recently engaged in exactly this. Google is yer friend. apparently. ;) o'rly, cause we can buy like maybe 10 kick ass houses in America for what it costs us to buy a small unit here in Aus... Yep. It's a fact. However, some suburbs are a risky proposition. |

Quoting: Neo81xxx I've been/lived there. It's noice. Very ozy . 'cept they have a Real winter. Not too sure I can live with that. ;] Hmmm I never thought of that, I am a big fan of hot weather, the cold bugs me. Although if you can pick up a mansion for say 60,000 usd (55,985.83 AUD) Im pretty sure you can afford a nice amount of electricity |

A similar occurance happened at the time of Henry VIII death & through the reign of Queen Mary. The amount of silver in British coins became less & less. There are just so many correlations between the late days of Rome & the state of the current Western World. I will not enumerate them as we have had this discussion often on GLP. I will state that the fractal incidence as applied to superpower disintegration is tighter & tighter. Just as Queen Elizabeth came along & brought England back to glory, it was temporary. England had QEI, US had Ronald Reagan. The difference is that it took England several centuries to deplete the strength Good Queen Bess afforded them, the US has burned through her strength in mere decades. Why? Soon to boil frogs following already boiled frogs. :Boiling: Fate whispers to the warrior "You cannot withstand the storm" the warrior whispers back "I am the storm" INTJ-A |
